A home can be lived-in, AND clean. I know this might come as a revelation to some, but for many of us, cleanliness is just a way of life. I absolutely love this house tour. The home is beautiful and so is the family. I applaud the parents for not allowing their children to grow up in filth. Well done.

We do try to live clutter free despite sharing a home with a six and eight year old. Our home is 2300 sq ft, but with very little storage. We have to be careful about adding too many objects because we don't have a lot of room to store seasonal decor. I'd love to share the rest of my home with everyone -- whaddya say, Apartment Therapy?

The art was made by my eight year old daughter's third grade classroom. The 36” X 48” painting on canvas in the “drip and splash” style popularized by Jackson Pollock. Students worked in groups of six to first paint a multi-chromatic background, and then layered on an array of colors using a combination of paint brush drips, splashes and squirts. Kids used a water based arcrylic paint. I'm proud of the work.

Your home is refreshing and I love the cozy living room with fireplace. You mention so many things about your space and yet I didn't see anything about, what appears to be, Japanese influences. The entire space is beautiful. You have a wonderful eye.

One would have to pry Better Homes and Gardens from my cold dead hands before I would ever cancel my subscription. I've enjoyed this magazine for years and hopefully, if I'm raising my girls right, they'll subscribe to it when they become adults -- that, and Apartment Therapy of course -- that goes without saying.

Firstly, let me confess that I visit Apartment Therapy about fifty times each day and this is the very first time I've felt compelled to comment. This home is simply flawless. The artwork is so well positioned and it is clear that the pieces were chosen with great consideration. The carpet is cool and makes me want to reconsider the hardwoods in my home. Every detail appears authentic to who you are and brings out the structural beauty of your home. This is fabulous! I'll probably view it again and again and again.
