I had a similar experience and used fancy sheets of paper from the papersource. I had smaller panes so I was able to use the smaller sheets and cut them up. As for the permanence issue, I too am a grad arch student so I say use drafting tape! Make a frame of drafting tape on the pane, then affix the double sided tape or whatever that could do damage to that. Drafting tape seems to be the best to remove after, I just warn if it is up for more than 2years, or it is very dry, you may need a razor blade to help peel off afterwards. Not the "white house"....but the Cullens' home was the best, especially Edwards room. Thanks for posting about this! Apartment Therapy Chicago | Twilight Inspiration: Edward Cullen's Bedroom Design |

At least once every 2 weeks, and would be much more often if it didn't require a trek to the laundrymat. Towels get 3-4 days before getting tossed in the laundry bag. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Laundry Habits: What's Normal For Towels and Sheets? |

Ditto on the boot scrapers. In Brussels there are homes which have a semi-circular hole carved out of the stone so that the scraper was hidden away. Very neat, and usually part of the Nouveau design. Apartment Therapy Boston | Good Questions: Weird Iron Things in Beacon Hill? |

We painted the bedroom in our old apartment Fern Green! The windows directly faced the building next door (2 feet apart) and the green made up for zero natural light. The bedspread was an orange-pink paisley....with a white theme throughout. No I don't think this combination would work anywhere outside of that bedroom, but the green works well in your space. I live right on the green line in Boston and I used to do ear plugs, but they drove me nuts falling asleep. The solution was to move the air purifier into the bedroom. We have to run it for the cat anyways, so my moving it into the bedroom, the white noise is the perfect amount of noise that silences everything else. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | AT on... I worked at a bar/restaurant during college that had stools just like these. They are very heavy and take a while to move. Also depending on how the bottom is finished off, potentially can destroy your floor finish. Very cool looking though. Apartment Therapy Boston | Repurposed Truck Spring Kitchen Stools |

I used to work in the offices for yankee candle and can no longer use those candles. To get to my office from the parking lot I had to walk across the factory floor, passing 4 giant vats where 4 different batches of fragrant waxes would cook (not always complementary scents either). I definitely had work clothes, in other words, permanently scented clothes. From all that, I just need a 5-10 year break from candles. Morning and night Bri is my shadow, literally either at my feet in the morning when I'm getting ready or sitting on the vanity watching me. Then the afternoons when I am usually at work, is her window sill napping time. Apartment Therapy DC | Survey: What's Your Pet's Favorite Place in Your Home? |

hmm...I have that coffee table, and not only was it was from Ikea, it was not really expensive. I think it was just over $100 and if it has scratches (not real wood so very visible) I don't think it is worth nearly the price they are asking. It is however a great place to hide dvds. I adopted my cat this January, and she started having asthma attacks in March. Who would have thought! After months of vet appointments and trying treatments, we now give her 2 puffs on an inhaler every morning and night. For the most part, this isn't a pain...besides the costs involved. But I have yet to find a pet sitter. Not to mention being constantly alert to her breathing to make sure she is not going to have an attack, which is really a horrible thing to witness. Unless you spend the night, there's no way the 24 routines of the neighbors can be known. I rented an apartment in Paris last summer, which all afternoon and night was perfectly pleasant. I wasn't until 6 in the morning that the demon child from hell (also known as the upstairs unit) decided to throw metal trucks against the floor....and continued every morning. For me the only etiquette faux pas are the people who take something and then.....return it. Is it just me that finds this behavior off? This has only happened once to me but I've heard of it happening to others too. Recently we put out an Ikea malm bed on the curb with a note on assembly and bundled in manageable portions. Someone took it, maybe 10 minutes after curbing it (2pm), and what do you know, it was back at around 11pm. You took it, it is now yours, and if you choose not to keep it, put it out in front of your place. What was really disappointing was that this bed was in great shape, someone else could have used it. I don't know if someone took it away in the night before the garbage men came, but the original takers wasted all those peak pedestrian hours.
