Yup! Our bathroom was an awful slate gray (and it was a flat paint in a room with no windows, so a color that could have been moody was instead just plain dirty and depressing) and one of the bedrooms was purple. Repainted them an airy green and a medium gray, respectively, and I would bet our landlord won't even notice when we move out at the end of the month. I would love to see number 3 in there, but I have a feeling they went with number 4, so that's what I voted for. Just doesn't seem like a house, to me, that would go for a gold light - but that's what I would pick! Fill in the Design _________: Pick the Best Lighting for this Dining Room |

Unfortunately, no. They're giving you the pricing per bottle if you order within that range. (That is, if you order 100 bottles, it'll cot $3.04 per bottle; if you order 200 bottles, it'll cost $2.24 per bottle; if you order 1000 bottles, it'll cost $1.82 per bottle.) Yay! So happy! I know your pain - about a year and a half ago, I did a big spice storage overhaul, and it took me a long time to find the perfect bottles. Good luck with the tonic!! Help Me Find Inexpensive Small Bottles for Homemade Gifts Good Questions |

I don't know if they ship to Canada, but I've bought various types of bottles from Specialty Bottle and have been happy with their service and even happier with their prices. My parents live in an old Victorian in San Francisco and one of the biggest problems they had was getting hot water from the traditional tank water heater up to the bathroom on the top floor, three stories up (it could take upwards of 10 minutes for the water to heat up from when you turned the faucet on). Their solution, when they remodeled the third floor, was to have a tankless water heater installed for that bathroom only and to run the laundry, other baths, and kitchen on the traditional water heater from the basement. It has been an ideal solution for them, as the traditional wasn't sufficient for the third floor but a tankless wouldn't be enough for the whole house. I bought a tomato plant (heirloom) from my local nursery and it grew like a weed (probably 5 or 6 feet in one month) and it flowered, so we were hopeful... But then it never produced fruit. It was so frustrating and ugly that we just got rid of it this past weekend. I assume it was just bad genetics since my other tomato plant (cherry tomatoes) grew and fruited fine (though the tomatoes did split, which I now know is my fault... oops). I flew alone from a family trip in Idaho to my summer camp in California when I was 7 or 8. I remember it being thrilling, but then again I was a very well-behaved child and didn't want to upset my parents by doing anything wrong, even though they weren't with me. I think it depends completely on the nature of the child and the preparation given by the parents, as well as the "difficulty" of the travel (layovers, customs, baggage claim, etc.). The carbonara recipe from America's Test Kitchen's "New Best Recipe" book is AMAZING. (And I grew up eating a *lot* of carbonara. I agree that both cream and peas have no place in a traditional carbonara.) You cook the pork product until it's crisp and brown, add some white wine and let the alcohol smell cook down, and then you add that to the pasta with a mixture of eggs/pecorino/parmesan and tons of black pepper. It is so, so, so good. I might have to make it for dinner tonight. Authentic Spaghetti alla Carbonara Recipes from The Kitchn |

This is great in theory, but I have a crappy fridge that varies probably 5-10 degrees in temperature in different parts of the fridge. When the front is the right temperature, everything toward the back freezes, and when the back is at the right temperature, everything in the front is just a little warmer than I'd like. I would paint it a bright color and paint the insides of the pulls another complimentary bright color. I would then put pulls on top of the existing pulls. (Something like this maybe?) I'm a feather and my boyfriend is a log (and he snores - loudly). I also discovered that I need the fan on while I go to sleep, much in the same way you did. We live in DC and summer here gets *hot*, and once I started going to sleep with the fan on, I couldn't stop. Music is too distracting because I want to sing along or listen, but the fan is perfect ambient noise. Catching Some Z's: Are You a Log or a Feather? |
