As of right now you can get very deep discounts in Hickory, NC. Look up the Hickory furniture mart after-market sale...acres of furniture from the best vendors. I know folks who fly in from Seattle, WA and all over the world for ridiculous discounts and ship it back, because it is cheaper. The fall sale (the best sale they offer) this year is November 4-6, but they generally will get their shipments in a week in advance and honor the deep discounts!! I have purchased a beautiful custom couch with a twin size mattress for $2200.00...regularly $7000.00. I have seen a handful of Ralph Lauren double armoires, gorgeous, on sale for $800.00, regularly $11,000. No joke. I have sat on couches so deep that I didn't like it, but maybe you would! I am 5'10''.
