Definitively Herbs of Provence. If you have never used such spice, just get some, however, make sure the Herbs are packed in the traditional package used in the Provence area and not in the jars sold at supermarkets. Incidentally, supermarkets are not the places to buy spices.

I use an excellent French Tea -- Kusmi, Ginger-lemon green Tea -- and Hibiscus-Sorel to brew iced tea, i.e., for a large pot of tea, 2 teaspoons of Kusmi Tea, one teaspoon Hibiscus- Sorel, hot water and brew for 14 minutes. Strain and reserve. When cool, put the tea in a blender with juice of one lemon or lime, 4 tablespoons sugar and process it. A real good iced tea to drink all year around.

I cannot possible understand how people buy gourmet food in places like Costco. The cheese refereed to is a very delicacy from the Burgundy area and cheeses like that should be brought only in a cheese store where the cheese monger understand cheeses.

For everyday cooking I use a decent Italian olive oil in one liter bottle. For salads and finishing dishes, a good bottle from Provence.

My favorite dry pasta is from Giuseppe Cocco that's from Abruzzi, and the very second one if from Garofalo (from Napoli). Both without doubt are the best dry pasta one can buy, however, I believe the Garofalo pasta is easier to find than Cocco's.
