It depends on the granite and what minerals it is composed of. What do you mean 'need' for stone countertops, they are beautiful, come from the Earth and last forever. I love it. It makes you look up in the room, and not just around. I had a smallish bedroom I once painted.. the walls were a light yellow and the ceiling was a navy blue. Then I bought some gold paint and hand painted old fashioned looking stars on it. The navy went down about a foot on the walls, and I had wall to wall track lighting that from border to border. I was a teenager at the time, so for a bedroom it was very fun. It really gave a good feel, and I always got a lot of "wow!"s. Thanks for the kitchen ideas! I'm moving soon (tomorrow) into a similar style older kitchen with only sink counter space. The lab glassware idea is SO cute, especially because I am a scientist for work (although I'm not sure if I want to be reminded of that at home ;) ) ! They have those at the SPCA (no kill also) that I volunteer at. They are super convenient not to hold just cat beds but litter boxes at the bottom also. Oh my goodness. I was also very skeptical upon buying one for my cats, but they are completely worth it. Make sure you read the breed restrictions, because they can make curly-haired breeds go bald! I've recommended it to several family members and friends, and even had them try mine and they all love it. I have a short haired cat and a medium haired cat, and after I use it, I barely find any fur in my house for at least a month. It is designed to get the undercoat out, where it gets trapped when they shed it, while leaving the silky top coat. Let me tell you though, make sure you do it outdoors and wear clothing you don't plan on wearing later! I absolutely love it... its not like any other brush out there. And no, I don't work for the company :) Pros: Gets the fur out for at least a month. Quick and easy to use. Cons: Breed restrictions. Cover yourself in fur.
