I'm taking some cheap paper napkins and folding them into simple origami turkeys.
1. Fold turkey.
2. Write the guest name on tail
3. Place on plate.

One could always scan the book pages into a computer, and use a simple image manipulator to add the text. This way the book is preserved.

Try using traditional origami paper. The colors and patterns are lovely. I've been doing this for years.
