I've found that many bits of tea leaf wind up in the brew when using a french press. The Bodum Assam is a fantastic option! Have thoroughly enjoyed mine for 5+ years Plus you can find it at Crate and Barrel for $40, instead of the $60 listed above.

Love the dachshund letter holder! Will wait for it to go on sale :) I've owned and enjoyed that exact same paperclip holder for years. (To give you an idea, I think it was $16 or $18 when I bought it) Love the little smidge of happiness it brings to my otherwise drab, gray cubicle.

I'd be interested in seeing a before and after floor plan.

Results are lovely. I really like the simplicity of the mantle, and how the wood grain is carried throughout the home. Again, lovely!

I almost didn't click onto the home tour because you guys look TOO PERFECT! :) Thankfully there was one picture frame on the wall which was slightly askew, so sorry - you guys are only 99.5% perfect.

People underestimate the psychological benefits of accomplishing the seeming impossible. Growing a plant! Bringing life into the world! Gently nurturing those ever small, delicate green tentacles and saying "It's okay baby plant - you can trust in me. Together we will make you grow into something beautiful". No more sad, wilted, diseased, neglected or over watered plants. That depressing thought in your head WHAT DID I DO? I only wanted to love you! As you throw yet another dead and decaying plant down the rubbish chute. I would *gladly* pay $60 for a successful plant rearing opportunity. I'm adding one to my amazon wish list right now.

This post and the many comments inspired me to "pride and proud" (haha!) my bed over the last few days. I've so enjoyed it! I used to blame my general state of disorganization on my mom precisely because she never forced us to make our beds in the morning. I always thought that somehow the discipline of a set morning routine would have percolated over into other areas of my life. Of course, now that I'm 30 I think I can probably drop the blame since the last 12 years have all been on me!

So far making the bed has had a positive impact on the general cleanliness of my bedroom as I'm far more motivated to keep things off the floor and tidy. :) Yay! I've also felt noticeable moments of happiness and calm both while making the bed and after. So many happy sighs.
