You did a great job with your room, it's very cheery! The orange stripes add a lot!

If you do paint the cabinets in the future, may I suggest white cabinets with dark grey doors. OR for my own cabinets (which I painted white) I painted the inside backings a different color and also removed all the doors off the top cabinets. Obviously, cannot have clutter of any kind, but it makes my small kitchen look a bit more open and airy.

Ohh! and also love the spoons!

Thank you all for the wonderful comments, they mean so much! I am super excited that our 'room' was so well-received. Just today, I happened to look on FB and see that we made it as an entry. Hooray!
Of course, a vision is nothing if it doesn't have someone to make it a reality. This project was done on such a tiny budget using cast-off furniture, clearance plants from Habitat's Resale store and a ton of paint! A tremendous amount of work went into making our backyard really come alive. My husband, Joel, is amazing! Power washing, painting, landscaping the back area, really made a huge difference. Good friends Amy, Josiah & Margaret helped us add all the small details that really make everything come together and our friend Lisa was kind enough to photograph it for us, and has since started Pellegrini Penzone Photography www.penzonephotography.com.
