I'm highly lactose intolerant (and have been for 20+ years) and butter does not bother me. You should research the diffrence between dairy and lactose (and the different levels of each in foods). There are certain "dairy products" that are naturally very low on the lactose scale that your husband most likely will be able to digest. Butter is in the very low range for lactose levels. Also, I use Lactaid Milk in the place of milk in most recipes and it comes out exactly the same. Very rare that I have a problem doing it. Baked french toast is always a favorite of mine too. I also make these yogurt granola cups. They are an easy crowd-pleaser. You can make the cups the day before, then scoop the rest in that morning before your guests arrive. http://www.loveumadly.com/2012/04/granola-cups-for-nannie/ Help Me Find Great Make-Ahead Recipes for Housewarming Brunch Party Good Questions |

I love homemade for a wedding favor. ANYTHING can work, it's just a matter of packaging in a great way that matches the style of your wedding. I've seen something as simple as a jar of popcorn or a bag of cherries turn into awesome favors when packaged well. I recently posted some of my favorite ideas here: http://www.loveumadly.com/2012/04/reader-question-party-ideas/ Also a store like Christmas Tree Shop, Dollar Store, or Home Goods has great jars for $1 or less each.
