After working in commercial architecture for 10 years I decided to install rubber tile in my kitchen when we renovated it last year. This was one of the biggest mistakes that I have ever made! if you are thinking about it, reconsider. The product, as I found out, is made for commercial use. And it is a great product when used in the right application. However living in an apartment in nyc I cannot afford to have my floors commercially cleaned, waxed and or buffed daily and this is what this product needs to stay clean. I love the color, and I love the way that it looks in my space, which is why it pains me not to recommend it. The manufacturer concurred that this product was not intended to be used for residential use as well. At the moment we are sticking with it, but I must emphasize how much I hate to mop and this product needs to be cared for daily. next floor will be forbo linoleum for sure! just adding to the comment list about horrible service. they charged my friends who purchased a gift for us from our wedding registry that we set up with them (huge mistake) prior to mailing it. this is a strange policy compared to other vendors. but the clincher was, that the item was back ordered and that they gave me such a hard time about choosing something different. I believe that they expected us to wait, and it had already been 4 months. this by the way, was a braun coffee grinder that was readily in stock at bed bath and beyond. I agree, they come across with very shaky store policies that depending on who you deal with, interprets it differently. I would only use there site as a initial source to see products, but stay clear of purchasing anything there. it isnt worth the headache. Apartment Therapy New York | Unica Home: Big, Modern, Fun |

i must second the comment about customer service, not that they were rude, but in general a royal pain to deal with. we had our wedding registry there and it has been a bit of nightmare. too bad because they have such a great collection of items Apartment Therapy New York | Unica Home Updated Post |

Hi Deb, let me post a photo tomorrow. Sorry, I lost track of this question. But basically I had the millworker take a fixed filler panel that was there and perforated it with a large drill bit. Apartment Therapy New York | NY Good Questions: Can I Cover These Vents? |

I have been on the hunt for a perfect slide out undercounter, trash can that can house both my trash and my recyclables. Because lets face it, if you are like me your glass, plastic and everything else that gets sorted ends up sitting out somewhere and it looks unsightly. My other request was that these trash cans have lids, separate lids. I can only imagine how smelly my cabinet would become if they didn't. I swear I surfed the web for hours, and somehow found a source in germany. www.trashcan24.com I am overjoyed at my options that europeans typically have. Their approach to garbage sorting is so far beyond ours. Enjoy the site. And if you do the math, I found that it actually came out quite comparable to products found in a Hafele catalog.
