Same with me, FRANK. My dog picked it up in the bushes of my back yard and gave it to me last spring. I didn't even know it was out there. But now I am on poison ivy patrol every few weeks to remove it. I wipe down any exposed skin with rubbing alcohol after I do yard work and also use it on my dog's paws if I think he may have run through it. The alcohol is good at removing the urushiol oil and can prevent it from spreading or lessen the reaction. Get Smart: Recognizing Poisonous Plants |

Many people can get in the habit of hanging out in their bed at times other than sleeping. If you reserve being in bed only for sleeping, then your body will become conditioned to falling asleep when you are in it. I started this years ago when I had trouble sleeping and I have no trouble falling asleep just a few minutes after jumping in bed. 6 Simple Changes to Make at Home to Help You Sleep |

Pinetree- Hang a basket, bag, etc on a hook on the wall. Like Bangs said, higher hooks for coats can be used to cover the lower hooks so it won't matter what you use to store your gloves and scarfs in as long as it is functional. I do this with my dog's leash, coat and towel used to dry his paws. Practical Tips for Organizing Mud Rooms & Entryways |

In such a small space, where do you hide the cat's litter box?! I am going to be moving to a potentially smaller apartment in the next few months and have been thinking about an out of the way spot to hide the box. Natalie's Beach-Girl-Meets-Book-Nerd Nest House Tour |

Colorblindness is an X chromosome linked trait that is also recessive. Males only have one X chromosome while women have 2. If a male has genes for colorblindess, it will be effective whereas women will have the genes on the other X chromosome to mask the colorblindness. My father is colorblind and that means I have one copy of that gene. My future sons will have a 50% chance of being colorblind. Red? Green? What's the Difference!: How Color Blind Are You? |

This may be my favorite house tour. It looks like such a fun and livable space. It really gives me hope on my impending move to a much smaller apartment. I enjoy that the furniture is basic and there is a lot of white but there is nothing ordinary about her apartment. Sarah did a great job and it looks so do-able for anyone! I like the idea of a bold mirror or piece of art. If it is bold enough to hold its own, then you don't really need to fill in the sides of the fireplace. Sconces on either side would work nicely too. Hang a Mirror over This Fireplace? Good Questions |

Years ago, when I first moved to live on my own, I bought white everyday ware at a Pottery Barn Outlet. They are great and it is nice to know that I can upgrade/replace in the future with pieces from the same collection from Pottery Barn. Best Everyday China 2011 |

Placing it on a wall where the door to the room is would keep it out of the way. You won't be able to see it from the hallway/adjacent rooms and you have to actually be in the room to see it. Displaying Trophies: Finding a Spot for The Mounted Fish |

I used curtain rods that I already had in a similar way. My scarves and my hats are now on a small corner wall behind my bedroom door. I wear scarves so much, I love that they are very accessible when I am running out the door. Before & After: Streamlining Scarf Storage |
