Excuse me? Letting your pet go outside = not caring for it? What planet do you people live on? Do you send your kids to school in plastic bubbles so the germs and parasites can't get them either? How stupid do you think your animals are? And how self-centred are you to think that a longer life equals a better one. Do you ever see a cat hanging round the moment it feels threatened? Why the paranoia? Jees, neuter it, vacinate it, collar it (with a bell), put in a cat door and let it have some independence. That is a happy cat. Would You Leash-Train Your Cat? The New York Times |

Seriously? First I go on Apartment Therapy and they're talking about walking cats on a lead as a good lifestyle for them. Now you guys are talking about using imported, heavy, refrigerator needing butter instead of locally produced stuff. I thought this website was at least vaguely environmentally minded. Now I realise you're all just bonkers.

You're all nuts. Seriously. Leashing cats? Training them to avoid cars and dogs? Wtf?!! In the UK people don't tend to get cats when they live in apartments. It's cruel. Keeping cats inside, even when you live in a house in the suburbs. Also cruel. Just because they live a bit longer? What kind of life is that for an inquisitive animal? We've always just kept them in the house for the first 6 weeks, then put in a cat door and let them come and go as they please. And anyone who de-claws a cat to make it more people friendly should be locked up. This is the most ridiculous post I have ever read in my life. Would You Leash-Train Your Cat? The New York Times |

It seems that since my parents separated all our good traditions have gone and we're just left with the festive b*tching about having to cook every year by my mother and aunt, my grandmother addressing me with 'Hopper may be the only grandchild that didnt finish university but at least she can ______'. And my cousins turning up, eating, talking about how brilliant they are and leaving to meet friends at the pub as quickly as possible. What Are Your Home Holiday Traditions? Reader Survey |

When I was younger and my grandfather was very old, he couldnt eat very quickly due to Parkinsons and varying other age related ills. So when my grandparents came over for dinner (usually a Sunday roast) he'd be served his food first to give him a head start. Despite this he'd still only be barely half way through his dinner by the time the rest of the table had finished and he would usually just give up because he felt awkward at being the only one still eating. I always felt quite bad about this so I did two things. I ate my food equally slowly and started eating my peas one at a time, stabbing them with a fork. If I still finished before he'd had a chance to enjoy his meal I'd have a second helping of peas. Eaten one by one.

Also, I thought it was crack dens that bought down surrounding property prices, not the personal tastes of people who may or may not buy other houses on the same street. 16 Foot Wide House Maximizes Footprint |

I like it. I think the old materials used on the outide complement the old buildings on either side. I guess I wonder whether it shades the other buildings back gardens though. 16 Foot Wide House Maximizes Footprint |

I would mount it through a wall. Like tail in one room and the head poking through above a bath or toilet(above head and falling-over-and-stabbing-height of course) Displaying Trophies: Finding a Spot for The Mounted Fish |

Wow, I live in Sing right now and finding good design inspiration is near impossible. Most of the furniture sold out here is stuck in the 80's. Our rented house flat came part furnished and we have a huge leather headboard on our bed and the cushion covers on our sofa should really be in a mexican restaurant (think clashing coloured sombreros, cacti etc...)
