hands down one of the worst retail experiences of my life. I purchased a couch and a chaise the end of July and was told 8 weeks (special order). I called a few weeks in to check the status and was told 12 weeks. Huh?!?! The operator said she'd get accurate timing and call me back, she never did. A few weeks later I received an email stating that the item shipped. Yay! 2 days later I opened the mail to find a letter informing me that my furniture is on back order and there will be a delay in shipping. ?? I called to find out that there was no shipping issue, the item shipped and it may take 4 weeks to ship from SE U.S. to NY. That's crazy. 4 weeks went by and I still can't find anyone to tell me about my couch other than that they're sorry and will call me. Ugh! In addition, it's taken so long that my West Elm credit card statement is past due for the couch and I have no idea where it even is!!! The customer service is horrific!
