Yes. While I felt it sounded pretty good with the HD-600's, other headphone amps like the CI Audio VHP-2 sounded even better with the Sennheiser HD-600- http://bit.ly/VMzTYa

As for an all in one Portable USB DAC and headphone amp, the Meridian Explorer is my favorite so far: http://bit.ly/WGVFBu

Those replacement pads are sold separately if needed....But, If your Herman Miller Aeron is new and has a problem, your 12 year warranty should cover the repair. I recommend contacting your dealer or Herman Miller directly.

The innovation here seems to go well beyond the asking price, Bravo. Great design!

If your "tilt cover" is stained, you can purchase new ones here: http://www.officereplacementparts.com/tilt-cover-for-herman-miller-aeron-chair/

Or the store I listed at end of post, Office Designs - should have it too

hope that helps

Herman Miller says -
"Base, Frame, and Arm Pads
Normal cleaning
– Wash surface with a soft cloth soaked in mild detergent and warm water.
– Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
Do not use solvents or abrasive kitchen cleaners."

I would recommend contacting Herman Miller and asking about the Aeron touch-up paint - as it may be able to help in restoring your finish on painted surfaces.

It certainly depends on what kind of deal you can find - remember each feature for an Aeron is a separate cost; lumbar support, arm rests.... Many of the Aeron chairs on sale happened to be Refurbished (used) when I was looking. Plus if you buy it new, you want to make sure the dealer is authorized so your warranty is valid. But, for me it was more economically feasible to buy a used chair for 300 bucks and over time replace part by part.

Happy Sitting

I love old historical beeps, chimes, and related SFX. They transport me back in time! Here is a favorite website of mine called the "Museum of Endangered Sounds"

The spinning optical disc with perforations for sound made this design! I only wish they kept the CD player and added wireless streaming. It now looks like an old intercom box - slightly better looking, just my 2 cents.

Sure, use a lossless format like FLAC or ALAC, just try to avoid MP3 for the poor sound quality.

I must note that ID3 was never truly standardized. For those not wanting to compress or alter the original music file - AIFF supports ID3 it and is the full unaltered file.

You can add ID3 tags to WAV fies with XLD software. So, metadata integration and accuraterip is what I like about XLD.

Note:
ID3 tags were designed for the MP3 - they would work without problems with MP3 and MP3Pro files. The tagsets are an independent part of the MP3 file and can be usable elsewhere. The only other popular format which uses ID3v2 tags is AIFF - the tag is stored inside an IFF chunk named "ID3"

Happy Ripping!

Since Hard Disc Space is so inexpensive these days, I see no reason not to import a full AIFF or WAV. I recommend having a main drive with your music library and a backup drive of the same library- so that you can update as your library grows.

This way your music will stay intact and retain the resolution it was intended to be heard at.

happy listening,

Yes, I would agree to use FLAC or Apple Lossless if you want to save some hard disc space, but still retain a worthy quality for listening/enjoying music.

I avoid MP3s because of the artifacts associated with them. This format actual produces audible noise/artifacts in the music. Definitely stay at 256kbps for encoding MP3s (if you really want to listen to less than CD quality sound). If you are using MP3 downloads from sites like iTunes, AVOID variable bit rates - as they sound even worse. Constant Bit Rate of 256 or above is what I recommend for MP3.

Hope this helps,

Maybe if the records were completely trashed...but

45's sound amazing, especially these new releases from Analouge Productions...I've got Getz/Gilberto, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong all on 200 gram virgin vinyl...These albums sound amazing!!! 45's are higher fidelity than 33 1/3 records...But lets be honest all vinyl records are awesome

Cheers,

Anatec makes a stand very similar to the mStand. It has a usb powered fan built in to cool more effectively. It also costs less. Built of a 4mm single sheet of aluminium.
