Sagekitten, to give you a sense of our pricing: in conjunction with BetterWall (selling banners), we operate a program called the Recycle & Reuse Program for our 32 art museum partners, that is free and provides banner recycling. The recycling is an expensive that we take on, in addition to any copyright costs that we incur to offer the banners to the public. In fact, I think we're the only folks in the United States who recycle street banners, as recyclers will not take amounts less than 20 tons since the fiber reinforced material is especially tricky to recycle. As you can imagine, all these costs factor into our prices, which start at about $300. Better Wall: Giving New Life to Old Exhibit Signs |

I’d like to give Apartment Therapy readers some insight into our business and how it affects our pricing. As a companion to BetterWall, we administer a program with 32 art museum around the country called the Recycle & Reuse Program. This innovative program sells banners that are excellent condition on behalf of our art museum partners. Banners that are ripped, in poor condition or cannot be sold because they are not desirable are recycled, keeping tons of vinyl out of landfills each year. In fact, we just reached the milestone of recycling 100 tons of banner material. BetterWall: Limited Edition Museum Banners |
