We tried this, and found that the standard solar lawn light mechanism is too wide to fit into the jar, even when taken out of the plastic light frame. Any hints?

I like this even more after seeing more pictures. That bathroom tile floor is sooo pretty. The color really defines the rooms here, not the objects.

This is a great example of how well wood and white work together.

They have created a perfect reading corner... chair, footrest, great lights, plants, mirror, and side tables.

This is one of my favs. I think the white hide rug is the perfect foil for the fab-but-traditional sofas. I also think it's really clever how the outline of the rug sort of mirrors that of the pineapples! And the white rug with the white pineapples is cool.

That second photo... how the light color is on the right-hand wall, and the dark color is on the ceiling... very smart. Usually it's the other way around, but this was is so much better! That, and the green inset bookcase, really make this great.

At first, I thought the art above the sofa might be one of those changing light boxes. They should win the category of "Best Use of Marimekko!"
I love how polished Andrew and Karen's home is, but doesn't feel staged or cold.
The use of the blue/gray color on both the dining room and living room walls is very smart. Love how the two rooms mirror the same color combo, and the main, "sterling," color is great.

I am reading this just as I am trying to figure out what to do with the lovely old quilt, appliqued bedspread, wool blanket, and little textile-type things I have gotten from my family. I love them, and I really agree with that notion of, "display it, don't store it." But... HOW to display them? I don't really like quilt racks, for instance.
