Wednesday nights are kids get B'fast dinner as my husband and I head out for our weekly date night. Friday's we then do Pizza, PJ, Picnic Party. We cook home made Pizza, everyone gets in their PJ's and we do a picnic dinner in the family room while we watch a movie. Kids love it and get very upset if we don't do PPPP on Friday nights!

We actually designed our garden so that we have NO bee's. We have numerous seriously bad epispodes w/ bees - so when we purchased our new home we ripped out all flowering bushes and flowers and the whole garden has been replaced w/ bushed, perinials, trees etc - all in shades of green and no flowers. We love it!

We actually have two boxes of them and use them all the time! Both indoors and out! We're having a dinner party on Sat for Valentine's day and will have them in all our windows and mantles on top of door ways, tables, etc....and as they are faceted they give a really nice glow...and yes...they don't blow out when you use outside.....we also hang from our trees....and last forever!

I would do all built in's....I would consider a pull out pantry in the left hand corner (assuming you have at least 24" depth). It would be nice to get the fridge away from the wall (so your doors don't hit wall). Go idea to get the french door fridage. Consider an 18" wide pull out pantry that is as tall as your fridge and then put a cabinet above it to give you storage for items you do not use too freqently. You will be AMAZED how much fits in those pull out pantries. Do cabinets over your fridge also. Then on the right of the fridge, I can't tell how much space you have...you could do two base cabinets possibly. Make pull out drawers! not doors! You will get soooooooooooo much more space...and then consider open shelving on cabinets w/ glass doors..will increase feeling of depth on that wall so you don't feel like it is a wall of cabinets. Consider glass tile for backsplash, or even better a mirror (will reflect light and again add depth). Have fun!!

Wonderful and inspiring to look at.

LOVE the idea of one color, but different patterns using different glass paints - brilliant!

And did I really read that there is glass over the wallpaper on the backsplash???? If so can I ask how you mounted the glass? Or did I miss read.

Enjoy redoing the bathroom! As I write this my hubby is laying all the new floor tile in our bathroom remodel, ah the joy!! And I get to grout the millions of 1x1 tiles! Fun!

So glad someone asked this question! We just purchased a sectional sofa from West Elm and it drives us crazy that there was no way to keep the pieces together. Yeah! we will be fixing this weekend!

You created a wonderful, wonderful space..........I'm sure it was worth all the work.......enjoy it! and to go to all the effort on a rental...impressive as it shows how much you valued having a space like that as part of your "world".

We puchased this exact bed from LLBean nearly 9 years ago and still looks brand new. It has held up great and we love it - classic bed. We actually made the trip to the store and puchased it (my husband didn't trust buying out of a catalog!). But it looks as good as the catalog.

Echoing what others are saying - the space is beautiful, sophisticaed, not overly cluttered - very clean feel, but still gives a feeling of warmth. Inspiring!

This is stunning - the colors - the light - just the right amount of everything. Truly an inspiration! Beautiful job!

Sorry the plumb looks horrible. I would pick up one of the colors (expect the taupe) in the paisley print. I would paint the walls a warm taupe and possibly go with the ice blue color as the accent - or vice a versa if you were looking for a bit more punch.

Lovely Home! The dining room color is to die floor! Would you be kind enough to share the color with us as I sooooooooooooooo want to use that color in my house.

You know a lot of us may end up in suburbia for one reason or another, so I think it's great to foray into the burbs sometimes.

And fun to oggle over the idea of a yard!

please :>))))))))))))) share paint color of dining room!

Thanks!

We also have a FP fridge and LOVE it. As another person said it just barely protudes out and we consider it counter depth. Ours has the complete built in look and we could also send a picture. Our kitchen is quite small - but when we do get a big kitchen some day I love the double fridges next to each other. We get tons of compliments on our fridge and it works great and was an excellent price compared to other "counter depth" fridges. We have the Ikea high gloss white enamel cabinets and chose the white high glass w/ stainless steel handle FP fridge. Saving $'s on the fridge allowed us to buy the FP double drawer dishwasher!

We purchased the Wallmart "modern" crib. Cream and Brown. We also purchased the toddler rail, so that we can stretch the use of the crib...our son slept in his crib/toddler bed till 4! We also bought the matching bureau (just put the changing mattress on top!) Plus we find many changing tables are low and at 5'7" and 6'4" we appreciated the baby being closer! And then after diapers are gone you have a nice bureau. We switched out the knobs with these cool chunky steel roses!

Good Luck w/ your decision!

Excellent point - I had mistakenly assumed it was for current furniture...great idea to lay out a head of time.
