You should never put your spices near the stove. I know that most people do, and most people have a pretty looking spice rack right next to the stove, but the heat from the stove will shorten the life span of the spice. I keep all of mine in a cool dark place- in a cabinet away from the stove. It's actually closer to my prep area so I can get my mise en place together before I start to cook. 9 Steps To Arranging A Well-Organized Kitchen |

Skip the wings and the cardboard. Those wings are useless. You can cut a piece of insulating foam- either the pink kind or the blue kind- and put that in the gap. Not only does it insulate better than cardboard wrapped in aluminum foil, but it looks nicer too. Very clean. If you have access to the white foam (I work in museums, so we use that foam to pack artwork) it looks super nice because it's translucent and the light comes through. I need to say that Sav-on Appliance is AMAZING!!! I just bought a double oven, double broiler later 1940's Wedgewood stove from there. It's being delivered on Thursday. Marsha is so amazingly nice, as her daughter Chanavi. I couldn't have had a better buying experience. If you're thinking of buying a vintage stove and live in LA, you HAVE to go to Sav-on Appliance. this is how my husband and I stored our bikes in our last apartment in Chicago. The titled piece on the floor caught all of the rain and snow during bad weather so the floors would stay dry and safe. Your Bike, At Home |
