We actually have the car and fish molds and they do make adorable lunch-box additions. The one thing to keep in mind though is that you need to use medium eggs - the large or extra-large eggs that I typically use day-to-day won't fit. Breakfast Fun: Hard-Boiled Egg Shapes! |

These products are so cool and bright and fun - my kids love them, as do I - that they stay out of the craft cabinet indefinitely, cheering up our living room space. And I've bought several of the giant multi-color crayons for presents for other kids. At under $5, they make a great gift that everyone who has received has loved! My children's school doesn't allow any homemade treats, either. But when I asked the teacher what type of Birthday treat I could send in for my son's special day, she told me a good thing to bring would be frosted cupcakes from the grocery store bakery and individual Kool-aid drinks. Really?! This is less harmful than anything I could have made at home?! It's ridiculous. 5 Sweet & Healthy Treat Ideas for Kids' Classrooms |

I agree with talovetu! I was obsessed with the Little House books as a child, and my grandma gave me some horehound candy for Christmas one year. I thought it was the greatest thing ever till I actually TASTED it - blech!!!! It's like an awful cough drop mixed with chewing tobacco (to me). What Are Your Favorite Sweets from Children's Books? |
