Love Airstreams, and this is a great one. Neat layout and lovely colours.

I'm in love with this apartment. So, so beautiful.

The sellers literally cut it out of the ground, rolled it up and took it with them. It backfired though - it was in the sales description, so they now have to pay for a new lawn, plus costs.

Moving: What Do You Do When Everything Goes Wrong?

I feel you. Last year I moved into a oh-so-cool (read: expensive) factory conversion in London, which happens to be right next to a train line. It was a nightmare moving process, and despite everyone's promises, I never got used to the noise - or the fact that my 30 ft windows turn the flat into an oven in summer, or my crazy neighbours, or that the flat upstairs leaks into mine all the time. I never felt at home there, and eventually, I practically had a breakdown and bought a new flat before I'd even sold the first one.

However, moving into my new place wasn't smooth sailing either. Awful sellers (they took the lawn when they moved out!), a nine month wait to move in, builders disappearing and leaving the place uninhabitable. But this time, it all feels very different. Every little annoyance or or bump in the road feels bearable because I know that this time, I chose the right place - this is going to be my home, I just know it.

I'm sure you're going to love your new place. Just think of this time as the beginning of your history there - not to mention the great anecdote you now have for meeting new neighbours!

Oh no, not this flood of single photos from High Point again! Last year lots of readers commented that they'd prefer one big daily round up, rather than a continual stream of tiny posts with no real comment or overall cohesion. Pretty please?

I can see what the first two commenters are saying - I love a huge desk, and currently work from an eight person dining table, which even I can admit is a little ridiculous!

That said, think how many freelancers work from a sofa, with their laptop on their knees, or one one of those tiny laptop side tables - it seems like a lot of people don't actually need that much space, so I can see how this neat and tidy desk could be really useful.

However, a word of warning: my ex built himself an almost identical desk with an eBay bracket and Ikea shelf, and within the first month of using it, both fell of the wall!

Looking at the photos, it's fairly clear that the first was taken professionally, probably a while ago for something else, but the last four were recently taken specifically for this competition - hence the lamp change. It really isn't that big a deal, especially when 99.9% of this gorgeous space has stayed the same. Love it!

I love waking up to bright sunlight but can't sleep unless it's pitch black. Simple solution? A sleeping mask. Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure that out.

Absolutely gorgeous - a really warm, calm space. And kayonyc, not everything in our homes needs to be perfectly centrered or laid out. I much prefer a lived in, self-decorated room to one that has been so meticulously 'curated' you hardly dare breathe!

I absolutely love this. A well structured sapce that manages to be both quirky and grown up.

I LOVE this. I'm currently at the first stage, where despite my best efforts, my decor feels bitty and disparate. This post has really helped me come up with ideas for making my place look more cohesive and 'grown up'!

Despina - in the UK, square footage isn't something we really use as a selling point, nor is it directly used for utility or tax decisions. It sometimes appears on the floorplan of a property you're looking at buying, but other than that, you tend not to need that particular piece of information.

Then again, we live in the smallest homes in the developed world - so maybe we'd just rather not know!

Shameless plug alert! I'm about to become the anchor of a daily YouTube show called 3 Minute Politics (http://youtube.com/3minutepolitics). There will be two daily programmes, one covering the day's news in the US, and the other in the UK. The accompanying website (http://www.3MinutePolitics.com) will also offer a curated selection of the best articles from around the web that day, as well as tweets from politicos and media professionals. It's staying informed - the short way!

I absolutely love this, although if it was my garden I'd have added some conversation friendly seating in the middle, rather than the benches around the edge.

My white oak floors are the bane of my life. Impossible to keep clean, and despite living by myself with one cat, they look dirty again just minutes after I've cleaned them. Fortunately, I'm about to move house, so needless to say the new place will NOT be having light floors!

Ha- this is exactly what I came to say! I made the mistake of having an acrylic coffee table (now scratched beyond belief just six months later) and a glass desk (a magnet for dust, smudges and fingerprints). I'm moving home shortly, and it's safe to say that neither will be coming with me!

Previously said the same thing on another post, but my dad died during Christmas a few years ago so now we don't celebrate it - instead, we just go on holiday. Usually we try to go somewhere hot and exotic, but this year, we're going to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. I absolutely hate Christmas, so being somewhere new makes it easier.

Play fair AT. It's not nice to build a community based on conversation and collaboration, but then insist that people also sign up elsewhere if they want to join in. In addition, from a purely commercial point of view, it's never a good idea to fragment an audience across various websites when your income is derived from volume.

Also, the voting process is a little laborious. Firstly, I have to open this post, leave AT, go to Pinterest, click on a tour I like the look of... and then click to come back again to view the tour on AT. Then, if I want to vote for that entry, I have to go back to Pinterest, and (assuming I have an account), re-pin the original entry. And then repeat 9 times.
