I'm a clarifier, collector, and categorizer. I quilt so I have a big quilting inspiration board, and I'm also gluten free, so I pin regular recipes one place (to adapt) and already GF ones another.

Agreed as well. I know why they do it - more click throughs = more pageviews = more ads, but it's obnoxious.

But vanilla beans are NOT expensive if you buy them online. Case in point: http://www.ebay.com/sch/vanillaproducts/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

I've bought from them before. Excellent product. 25 prime quality beans is $14. Totally worth it and if you wrap them properly (3 layers of plastic) they keep well.

Not only is the recipe not even remotely gluten-free, it's also almost two years old! This is just sloppy and disappointing. AT/Kitchn staff I expect more from you.

I always share recipes, because pretty much they all come from books or the internet. I tweak, and share my tweaks, but I don't come up with 100% original recipes very often.

Do you think these can be made gluten free by substituting rice flour or a flour blend with xanthan gum in it? I wonder how much the gluten is necessary to the structure and form, since there isn't much kneading? Thanks!

I can't seem to get the texture right when I've made them in the past. Once they were prefect - light and fluffy - but the other times they've been pretty dense. What exactly is the texture of the dough supposed to be when you're done with the eggs? (Maybe a video?) Thanks!

I think it's a learned behavior. I thought I was a pretty light sleeper, but then I backpacked through europe, sleeping in hostels. As long as I fell asleep before anyone else came in (I was going to bed early and getting up early) and they didn't turn on the light / make a ton of noise, I slept right on through.

How many times are you going to re-post this post? Why not do a new version? How about a gluten-free version? A vegan version?

Mine fits in my purse and I keep it with me constantly, but sadly I don't use it as much as I'd like. When I had doctor appointments all the time I'd read while waiting. Sometimes I'll use it on the train too, but it makes me a little nervous and I don't take the train often (I drive to work). I find I use it mostly for reading - RSS feeds and ebooks.

You want to keep them very air-tight. The insert that came with my large batch recommended triple wrapping them in plastic bags.

Can anyone suggest some gluten-free magazines? I'm not looking really for baking, but just a collection of gluten-free ideas all in one place.

Thanks!

Please for the love of god either make the photos clickable to the linked item, or put the links in order of the pictures. It is -impossible- on these kinds of posts to find the info I'm looking for. (Specifically the cookies (?) in the bottom right) I don't see any post in bold that makes sense with that photo.
