When I was a kid I would get up before the rest of the fam on Saturday mornings and drag out the step stool to eat breakfast on and watch TV. Also for cookies and milk after school. Yay memories! And jeez, so much with the judging. IKEA Bekvam Stool as a Table & ChairBabyramen |

After over a year of keeping up with AP, I finally had to register so I could comment on this one. That fireplace has perfect modern bones! I agree you should plaster/drywall over it, then paint it some fabulous color. Cover the mantle if you can so it's just a simple line. Just make sure you look into whether you can plaster that close to a fire, what the regulations would be for that, etc., to keep you all safe. I'm jealous! Have fun! How To Update This Fireplace?
