I hear you can have wall tiles 'reglazed' just as you would have your tub reglazed. Check with a professional who can do this and maybe you can glaze them all back to white (or whatever color you like!)

my building found a space in the basement where all occupants could put their gym equipment and work out there. No one under them so they could work out at any hour, with any amount of thumping!

what a great idea! I think we can do this in a closet with a step ladder even (smaller, so less of a climb hazard?)

I do love that dog. And doesn't it cost a fortune to print a photo that large? I'd opt for something more kid friendly if it's gonna break the bank, and not do anything of the kid.

if the paint wouldn't throw off the balance of the clock and its workings, I'd do what geminirene suggests and paint at least one hand. Maybe with something thin like one coat of nail polish?

great suggestion w/ the curtains... get some plants as well. I think the rug should be larger or move it in tighter with the couch and put the chair/sidetable/ottoman opposite and facing the couch to give more illusion of 'filling' or cozying up the space. Trust me... the longer you live somewhere, the more it will fill up! Enjoy the space while you have it!

if this is an original Eames chair, I hate to see its value go out the window because of the paint job. Here in NYC they go for $400 a chair even banged up. But then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and - if you'd rather live with this pc in metallic, I say go for it. It looks rather lovely cleaned up with paint. I think the Eames themselves would even approve.

my mom loved yellow, my dad loved blue... so I grew up in a home with this combo and it was always so sunny yet grounding at the same time. Love it. Thx!
