I take a ton of supplements/vitamins too. I took those small round containers sold as craft organizers that screw together. I have 3 compartments for my 3x day. 7 separate stacks of 3 to cover the week. I stuck a vinyl letter on the top to note the day. Great for traveling since I can just grab the days I need.

I totally know this is a pain for the host - but as a person with food allergies it's exhausting for the guest too. I have to navigate my allergies with every meal. I'm allergic to wheat (harder to navigate) and shellfish (more severe, but easier to avoid). It means a TON to be when my friend/host gives me a heads up and asks me what works for me. It's not that I want them to go way out of their way, but it is such a relief to be asked and considered.

Please Hosts, know that your consideration means so much to us who need your consideration.

Fanastic! I think this works because it's an accent wall and the other fence is plain + it's the perfect color scheme. There's the right balance of range of color but it's still in a limited color palette. So it's visually interesting without being too garish.

I know some tastes think it's way too garish, but with more colors and variety in the woods in could have been 10x of the Garish Scale. I'd love to see an Official Apartment Therapy Garish (Garosity?) Scale. 0 = White, Empty Box Minimalism 10 = Loco Rococo. Then we could all reference our own tastes. Like @MonicaK, I am completely in love with my king sized bed. In a long-distance relationship, I'm happy to share the bed with my sweetie when he's here. And I'm super comfy in it solo. It may be decadent, but I adore my giant bed island. My 12'x13' bedroom fits it fine.

<3 <3 Completely agree about Skype, 3D printers and streaming movies. <3 <3

The technology I *hate* is ubiquitous screens. I really, really hate seeing ads when I'm on the train platform, in a cab, or checking out at the grocery.

I adore living alone + I've been with my fella for 4 years, 1 of which was in my 570 sq ft apartment and 3 have been long-distance. That one year was tough since I am very particular about my stuff. For instance, I hate commercial packaging, so I put my bath stuff in plain containers and kitchen stuff in glass jars. My SO first went to take a shower and had no idea what was what.

So, I definitely miss my sweetie when we're apart, but I do also relish the time alone. And the decadence of sleeping solo in a king-sized bed. And letting the place get super messy when I'm too busy working on my projects.

Gorgeous. I really like the two-tone version too in the trivet tutorial. I was thinking of making a felt curtain to help dampen noise in my bedroom. A large scale version of this would be FANTASTIC.

Ahhh... the "dresser" looks like it's on a tabletop - so maybe more of an organizer than dresser?

@TRUEPEACENIK I wish that dresser was modular too. Or I wish it had a flat top so I could stack them more easily. It's one of my fave kind of Ikea pieces - one I instantly want to modify/hack and make my own.

Brilliant. I wonder if these piece would hold up to being assembled and disassembled? I would guess so and the opportunity for tiny storage would be fantastic.

ebarrett3, I did a month last year in Europe when it was super cold/snowy with about the same sized bag. And 3 weeks in New Zealand winter with a backpack about 2/3 the size. Just can't do anything bulky except hiking boots and coat, which I was wearing all the time. Biggest thing was super lightweight + warm long underwear. And layering lighter layers. I've gotten some great pieces from Ex Officio which were worth the cost for how well designed/useful they were.

I am pro-pro-framing, but not everyone has the budget for it. Why not use felt or rubber dot bumpers on the corners or sugru to cover any sharp hardware? Agree that you want art to stay safely on the wall in tact.

Another enthusiastic vote for Procion dyes. I dye a lot of stuff in my tub. And Synthrapol detergent is great for pre-wash (remove dirt, more even dye later) and post-wash (remove excess dye.

I ordered foam cushions from eFoamStore.com for a giant window seat I built. I went for the higher quality foam and it's still holding up great a decade later. I opted for 4" thick foam and it also works well as a guest bed. I hope that helps.
