I'm not planning on selling my CDs anytime soon but I just wanted to give a massive thumbs up for the picture. Impeccable taste <3

It's a bit daft, isn't it? Sure, it's a nice piece of furniture no doubt, but it's hardly practical. You might reclaim some space, but it's not like you can place anything there; it'll tip over next time you want to watch telly!

Mind you, I'm making something like this for the display at my desk albeit I'm mounting it behind my desk and intend to make it out of Lego Technics.

I remember seeing a single-DIN car stereo that did more or less the same a while back. At first it seemed appealing but I don't want to be too dependent on my phone - After all they break fairly easily. At least with a normal car stereo, I still have radio should that happen.

What a brilliant idea with the dimes to balance the table!

I think as long as your project is legal, you are able to find the time and do an aceeptable job, go for it! You really can't beat the feeling you get when you succesfully mend something yourself at a fraction of the cost of calling a pro.

Of course, you shouldn't be ashamed to call someone if the project is too big for you to handle - Took nearly three years for my dad to finish our living room because he went in half-cocked.

Just a quick reminder to everyone: Even though you can place it anywhere in your house it won't do much good unless it's placed in top of a room as smoke travels upwards.

Another one with a dust-gathering Wii. It's quite sad actually seeing I use my Game Cube regularly. :D

Re: Steve Jobs, that's not the first time; I recall them saying nobody wants to watch video on their iPods just after the iPod Photo came out. Along came the video-capable 5G iPod. I guess that's just part of their secret ways. If they said it way coming up, they'd give the competitors an advantage.

One thing I always carry in my bag is a small screw-on cap from a soda bottle with a hole drilled in the middle and a tripod screw in it. That way, whenever I'm on the go, I can use any soda bottle as an inexpensive monopod.

I don't like it. As much as I like uniqueness normally, this looks too complicated. That wouldn't be a problem in most cases but I don't want any guests having to come ask for help if they don't understand how it works while they have their trousers in ankle-height.

Having to explain to my 89-year-old granddad how to take a number two shouting through the bathroom door is not my idea of making my guests feel comfortable.
