"Suddenly I realized: even though I'd only been there for an hour at most, I found myself feeling completely at home. Was it the tea? The snacks? The wool blanket wrapped around my shoulders? The accumulating snow outside? I guess true hospitality is like that: it's subtle. It's seamless. You don't realize you're getting it until after you're already comfortable." We call this type of cheese Burrini. Serve on a nice platter with a spreader for the butter and cheese knife for the cheese. The butter is to be spread on good artisan bread and eaten with slices of the cheese. We fight over that butter! What Can I Do or Make With Manteche Cheese? Good Questions |

I too enjoy the whistle of trains in the background and do find it homey and not loud. Trains remind me of days gone by and how my great grandfather worked in a railyard. We stayed in a little house on the river near Portland OR and a train passed several times a day and while most found it annoying my kids and I loved watching those powerhouses pass each time! @IndieArmyWife I'm with you. We did this back in the mid 90's, learned it from another 82nd wife at Fort Bragg. My hubby loved them. Nothing new under the sun, only recycled with a twist. Cupcakes In a Jar! The Latest Cupcake Craze |

Thanks I made these over the weekend, twice and loved them. I did not bother to roll out, I cut them right in the dish. Next I will try them with garlic like Faith had suggested. Blogged it today.

@caeebe- just warm. I do the boil the water method as stated above and the food does stay warm but cools rather quickly once the container is opened. Ok for 2 of my kids but my other reheats it all agian, so not worth the effort for him! Skip The Microwave: Preheat Your Lunch At Home |

I am with coffeejitters. We have used lotsahelpinghands.com many times and were able to help a very young widow with 3 children, a friend who lost her baby, and one who had breast cancer. We set up meals, lawn mowing, childcare, errands, rides for kids, house cleaning and whatever they needed. Very private and efficient.
