We have one and love it! After going through two or three other less pricey thermometers we decided to get the best and we use it for baking bread, checking steaks and chicken on the grill and things we cook in the oven. I've even used it stove top to check the temperature of dessert fillings. I expect it to be the last one we will buy. I have been searching for a very long time for a copycat recipe for the Nature Valley crunchy granola bars - l love them! I like the flavor and the extreme crunchiness although they are messy to eat. These chewy bars...not so much. If anyone has a great recipe for a crunchy bar I'd love to try it. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Copycat Recipe: DIY Nutri-Grain Fruit and Nut Bars |

Ummmm Scallops. We love them here. Tiamat - I don't know how to describe the flavor - you just have to try them. If they're good a fresh, they have a somewhat sweet flavor. Just delicious and as everyone has said quick and easy to cook. Make sure not to overcook or they turn to rubber. Depending on size, they should cook in 5 minutes or less over a good hot fire. We also have a Penzy's in Omaha, NE - we had ordered on line for a few years when one day my husband was looking at their catalogue and we discovered they had opened a store here. It's a little bit of a jaunt from where we live but worth the trip! The smell inside the story is heavenly - we are replacing all our spices with Penzy's little by little... I love this idea. We're eating fresher and better all the time now. Love WF too (when we can afford to shop there :\). I'll send her an e-mail - I live in Omaha but if they could do one for Kansas City (much bigger metro area than us) it would probably work for our area. I love the idea of canning tomatoes since I could eat something with tomatoes in it seven days a week - but - I'm scared to death that if I try to canning this summer I will poison myself and someone else! As a corporate relocation director for a real estate firm in the Midwest, part of my responsibility is to manage corporate inventory homes when individuals have been transferred to another location and left their homes to be sold by their employer. A lot of these employers in effect âpurchaseâ the home from the employee so they have the equity out of the home to purchase in a new location. It then becomes my job to ready these homes for the open market and get them sold. Neutralizing is a basic in my industry. I have seen some wallpaper and paint combinations you wouldnât believe. I even have a PowerPoint presentation I use from time to time for certain meetings, etc. that shows some of these creative uses color. We use a color called âBiscuitâ for neutralizing most homes. Itâs a soft light taupe color. What weâve found is that most potential buyers have a very hard time visualizing what a home will look like without wallpaper and/or âcustomâ or designer colors. Also, most buyers today donât want to re-hab houses and have to paint, etc. after they move in (especially in the higher price ranges). They want to move in, put their stuff away and go on with their life. All that said I love colors and just painted one bedroom wall a deep chocolate brown â which will have to be âneutralizedâ should we ever decide to sell this home. Just my 0.2 cents and a little different perspective. Apartment Therapy New York | ColorTherapy: The Worst Colors For Interiors |
