I lived w/o W&D for two years... it was painful. But I crashed my friend's house once a week to chat over a cup of coffee while using hers... I took turns between two friends, did not want to abuse. Friends who do laundry together stay together !!!! :-) 5 Tips for Living Without a Washer/Dryer |

Incredibly beautiful, so many well curated details, the lamps, the rugs... the only thing I did not like are the dining room chairs, but that is only a minor detail. Congratulations !!! Corey Lynn Calter's Grown Up Home House Tour |

The architectural details are simply beautiful, the archway, the bathroom, the keyhole. A bit too much turquoise and shades of green/ teal to my taste, but great house. A work of love. Anne & Tahoe's Barnum Bungalow House Tour |

I buy a lot of stuff at garage sales, clothes for me and also for my family back in Argentina. All the stuff is dirt cheap and many times you get new clothes even with the tag still on for a dollar or less. My donations in clothes, household stuff, etc. go to Frisco Family Services, where they resell them and help the local community, and I also shop there as much as I can. Like someone said, donate clothes in good conditions to shelters, they will surely put them to good use. The True Price of Cheap Clothes Slate |

I am guilty of the "Creuset Pot" and "Vintage Fan" sins... But it looks like due to the need to be stylish and absolutely trendy, people fall into the same schemes, such as chevrons (which I do not really like). So, regardless of the variety of options to decorate your house, you end up living like your grandparents, who could only have a few options. So, repetition does not skip generations. In the past, it was the scarcity of it all, now it's the need to be fashionable all the time. Propping: How Much Is Too Much? The New York Times |

Love, love, love this article !!!. I am absolutely lucky to be surrounded by objects I have "curated", or lived with since I was a child. Especially after relocating from Argentina to the US 10 years ago, it makes me feel like home. The serving plate my grandma used to serve the ravioli when the family got together three/ four decades ago; the clock that belonged to my aunt and that I cherished since I was probably 5 years old. The blanket my gandma crocheted for me and my brother when we where teens. Many other treasures, which are on display at home, and which cannot and will never compete with any "newer" or "fancier" stuff. Sentimental Belongings: The Stories Behind the Objects |
