Ohhh, I used to live in this neighborhood! (Had to move out 'cause I couldn't afford it anymore. *sigh*) And she's right, it is absolutely beautiful. Even better now that they've finished most of the construction on the medical center. You have a lovely home, Amy! I'm so jealous! Amy's Vintage Modern Mix in Sacramento House Call |

I'm thinking a Movie Marathon night. My friends and I are all quite enthusiastic about our nerddom, and we've been talking about an "Avengers" marathon for months. Start with the Captain himself, and working chronologically from there up to the Avenger's film. And it'll be the first chance I get to really use my big screen TV with all my friends! The first "horror" movie I saw was probably Poltergeist. But that didn't bother me at all. What Was Your First Scary Movie? Dare To Rent It Tonight? |

If you're local to the Sacramento/Tahoe, California area, there's always Apple Hill. It's usually open year round, but it's a FANTASTIC drive, and during the fall there are all sorts of craft fairs and local events. Not to mention the dozens of family run orchards and fresh pressed apple cider. Plenty of pick-your-own options too! http://applehill.com/ Apples & Pumpkins & Byways, Oh My! This is why I take pictures of EVERYTHING before I move in. Fixtures, door trimming, sawdust in my kitchen cabinet from the shoddy job they did drilling a hole for outlet to plug in my stove hood. That way if they argue I've done anything to alter to space, or that I'm not leaving it according to their standards, I can show them just what their standards look like. Dishwasher detergent, like Cascade. Has to be the liquid form. I smear it inside things that have a white enamel on them, kitchen sinks, bathtubs, even toilets that have stains. Make sure everything is covered and let it dry. Then rinse it off with warm water. You won't remember the last time your sink looked so white! ;) What is Your Quirkiest Cleaning Tip? Real Simple |
