Hi Everyone, and thanks for all your comments positive and negative, I'm Eric Benaim, the owner of Modern Spaces who is marketing The Yard and who collaborated with We-Are-Familia and Nightwood on staging this apt... To answer a couple of questions,

1. Your right this is a 787 sqft apt not 650, that was an error.
2. An explanation for the art not being hung so straight, The apt that this was originally in had been sold and we had scheduled to move the model to a higher floor the day after Apartment Therapy was supposed to come and shoot the apartment, there was a mix up in the scheduling and the apartment was moved the day of the shoot... So that is why some of the stuff might be a bit off, as both Nightwood and We-Are-Familia weren't able to make it that day for final styling.
3. Regarding the Owl, the OWL in the cage is a Keepsake Box that is part of the Art Collective We-Are-Familia, one of 25 keepsake boxes in total. This one was commissioned by The Museum of Art and Design for There Metal Ball event and Fundraiser and was on display at the Museum until we were able to get it back for The Yard... http://www.on-verge.org/tag/art-collective/ here is an article, the next series of Keepsake Boxes are being commissioned by Fritz Hansen and will be on display at The Fritz Hansen Showroom in Soho beginning November 22nd i believe.
4. The phrenology Head, and Dishes with birds on them were purchased at A&G Merch in Williamsburg, everything else was brought in from various flea markets and places like Build It Green.
The Pop Up Apartment has been a success having sold several pieces already, Nightwood and We-Are-Familia replace the pieces as they are sold.

The Idea of a pop up apartment was because i got bored of all the other model homes being staged looking like someone just ripped a page out of CB2 or West Elm, i wanted something different, so i approached my friend Jennifer Garcia who runs We-Are-Familia an Art Collective that Nightwood is also a part of... This is what came of it.. I gave them lots of freedom, and having also contributed with some pieces like the stuff from A&G Merch and the couches etc.

If anyone is interested in previewing the yard, you can visit TheYardLIC.com or looking for assistance in finding a home go to ModernSpacesNYC.com

Thank You All..

Eric
