Maybe labeling ON the pictures 'before' & 'after' would clear up the much communicated confusion amongst all of us. I prefer neither, to be honest. The white does strike me as walking through an apartment you will soon be renting, and you start to think of how to liven up the room with paint.

Hey there -- I'm reallly surprised no one has mentioned this - but home depot and other places sell the ceiling wall paper that you can put up with thumb tacks.

It is a thick white paper and it is textured / patterned, almost an antique look.

Don't waste your time with the landlord discrepancies, it becomes a political thing of decision making and meeting in the middle.

Make sure when you leave to tear it down. Do not leave your removable improvements for the next tenant. I believe the bad of the apartment should remain.

Since everyone here 'calls it like it is' and says it's THEIR HOME that we just sit in, I say leave it looking as shabby as possible when you move out. If they want it to look nicer in any way, they can do it themselves. Since it's theirs and all. :)

Haha, you'd be surprised at how much great stuff there is on there -- bed bug free.

Was going to ask 'is it your first day on the site?' due to your lack of knowledge about CL.

Then clicked on your user name and saw you have a slew of negative, pretentious, & rude comments, and it all made sense.

Go to Home Depot and they will cut them custom sized for you! You can choose a variety of different pipes, thickness, color, etc.

Is there anyway you could do a wall or two of temporary wall paper or fabric starch your walls? (very removable). Or, if you plan on being there for a while, ask if you can paint the walls white and return them back to taupe upon your departure.
