Ooh polycrylic sounds like it might work. Thanks! It doesn't have to be completely waterproof, and it doesn't have to last forever - just easy to clean. Is It Possible to Waterproof Wallpaper? Good Questions |

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! Alas that is not my wallpaper, but hopefully mine is almost as awesome (just posted a few photos here http://www.flickr.com/photos/63111911@N02/sets/72157628917096275/). How difficult is plexi to cut? I have two outlet holes to make which I imagine would be tricky to do oneself. Thought about clear vinyl, but then worried it would ripple. Almost picked up some spray adhesive but realized anything in spray form might get all over the place and damage cabinets. Glass may be the way to go - though do you think the installation would be tricky for a couple of DIYers? Is It Possible to Waterproof Wallpaper? Good Questions |

I was hemming and hawing on the same issue - wanting a compact fridge but after seeing the prices on the Fisher & Paykel's (about $1800), I finally wound up going with this slightly larger Samsung for just $999 (decided to forgo stainless steel as well due to budgets) http://www.lowes.com/pd_52809-149-RB195ACWP_0__?productId=3446236 Affordable, Compact Refrigerator Sources? I'm sure the material and adhesive have changed over time, but I just had to remove 1970s grasscloth wallpaper from the entire living room of my new home and I would NEVER do that to a future homeowner/tenant. It was a nightmare to remove so I would definitely not recommend it - but maybe its not as big a problem with new grasscloths? Just thinking about the work that went into getting it off the walls gives me hives!! Gorgeous & Decadent: Grasscloth Wallpaper |

I just bought an apartment where the previous owner "died in his sleep of natural causes" (so said the obit). While it's a little creepy that I know he took his last breath in the same room I now sleep in - most people I know live in old buildings, so odds are good that over the past century someone has died in their apartment, too - they just don't know about it. Though I have to say - if anything gruesome had happened in the apartment (a la Amityville), I would have passed! Would You Buy a House with a Dark History? Good Questions |
