I adore the violet color on the walls and the splashes of yellow with it. I'll have to bookmark this room in case I have a girl.

For those of you who didn't read the original post on Bakerella, the woman who made this did it because this is her passion. In fact, nowhere does it even mention a child. She has a thing for cupcakes and sweetshop crafts and making adorable and impossibly perfect sweet shop and Holiday decor.

I now want to paint a fun abstract!

I love your bookshelves. It kinda cracked me up to see the cat in the first pic and then the fur thing on the couch in the next pic. You didn't make a throw out of your cat did you?

That could be really cool! I think putting a colorful frame around it and dark solid fabric behind it would make the image pop. Hanging it near a good light source would make the image show up better.

That's the Crate and Barrel Clara chair, I'm pretty sure. I don't see that color currently on their website but you could contact them and ask about custom fabric options.

Wow, what kind of person doesn't like family photos? There seems to be a few on here. That seems shallow to me. As for people not liking the way they look in photos- it's really sad that people actually feel that way if that's the case. We have a lot of people in this society that would rather feel bad about themselves than make a change? But honestly that doesn't seem to be the issue as far as the holiday cards go. It is really hard to not only get the whole family in the picture but also to have them all looking at the camera etc. I always make a point to get some sort of family pictures. I'd send a card with all of us on it even if it's not my best pic. I'm proud of having my whole family together and many of the people that I send cards to have watched me or my husband growing up as well as my kids and would like to see us all.
