I absolutely love my iPad 2 !!

iCloud is great too. I haven't come near to using the free 5GB Apple offers. All my documents, photos, settings, bookmarks, and pretty much everything is updated across all my devices: iPad, iPhone, and computer instantaneously. I create a document on my iPad then when I'm in the car the document is automatically on my iPhone. Photos taken on the iPhone are instantly available on my iPad and computer. It all works flawlessly with me having to do nothing.

Frankly, I've barely used my laptop for the last year since getting the iPad 2. It's truly a life changing tech device for me.

Anna, yes, by any measure, as you describe your space, it'd be an apartment. I'm really sorry I singled you out for my little rant.

Regardless of all that, your home is lovely and quite cozy.

I make a version of this that takes less than half the time this recipe does and everyone seems to really love it. My version's ingredient list is basically the same with just a few differences. I coat boneless chicken breasts with flour and brown both sides in butter then remove from pan (large sauté pan or braiser). The sauce is then started in the same pan by sweating the aromatics, etc. Before adding the tomatoes, I deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine or vermouth. Since the sauce doesn't cook very long, I use stewed tomatoes instead of diced or whole tomatoes. The sauce is simmered for 5 to 10 minutes then the chicken is returned to the pan and cooked just until done. (Oh, don't forget to bloom the curry powder by adding to the just sweated aromatics for a minute or so before deglazing.)

I agree, those brackets are incongruous with the idea of "floating stairs". Also, they're quite glaringly ugly.

Oh, I meant to mention Knoll has a showroom just a few doors up from my local Room and Board. The Room and Board table is considerably less expensive than the comparable originals at Knoll.

Room and Board has the Saarinen table: white marble or black granite both in either the round or oval shape. I've seen it in both stones at my local showroom--they're both stunningly beautiful. I've been coveting one for the past year. http://www.roomandboard.com/rnb/product/detail.do?productGroup=19671&catalog=filter&menuCatalog=room&menuCategory=197&menuSubcategory=152
