Usually, I would have said mainly for reheating, until we had a grease fire in oven, so have been without use of the oven for a week. So, my answer would be cooking onions, mushrooms, all types of vegetables, and don't use any oil. Have been making my usual soups but microwaving until tender, and then using blender to blend everything altogether, including adding the broth/spices. Then use microwave when I need the soup very hot. It's great! super fast. When oven/stove are working again, I will keep doing some cooking like my soups, microwave way, because it's so quick.

On any bottles that drip, fold a paper towel so it's about 2" deep - and goes all around the bottle - and place it midway down the bottle with a thick rubber band. Any drips get absorbed by the paper towel.

I hate to toss. I taste - try and improve if I can. However, other night I made the sweet potato fries (think the recipe was on this site) and some turned out okay, but there were quite a few burnt. Decided to bury them in some split pea soup I had made, blended it in, and you you couldn't taste the burnt.

I find blended soups can hide a multitude of "stuff" ... and still taste good. Small bits and pieces you have in the fridge, want to get rid of, etc. It's no small wonder, I never order soup when I go to a restaurant!

If child comes down with cold we do reverse - conintue to share spoons/water glasses, do not bother with extra cleaning on any surfaces, lots of hugs and hand holding and it works!

Only one of us gets sick at any given time. I usually get a cold 2-3 times a year, and it doesn't get passed around the family and ditto the rest of the gang. Strange, but it works for us!

I prefer the ones that can fold up, otherwise they are a big pain to have lying around, even stacked up. And when I see them, I automatically think, oh dear, flies or mosquitoes, 2 things I hate when eating outside!

Tx Gregory. However, we have the dreaded Norwegian rats, which apart from being able to tread water for up to 3 days no problem, there's also The Power of Rat Teeth: The jaws of a rat can exert pressures of 24,000 lbs per square inch, and rats can readily chew through plastic water pipes, bone, irrigation systems and garbage cans, wood boxes, dry wall, and even cinder block. On the international "hardness index" rat teeth = 5.5, while iron = 4.0, copper = 2.5-3.0, aluminum = 2.0 , and lead = 1.5. Rat teeth grow about 5 inches a year, and rats with mis-aligned jaws have been know to pierce their own brain cases with their incisors.

Getting Rid of Rats: It is is almost impossible to rid an area of rats by poison and traps alone.

Trust me, bamboo is like tearing tissue paper for them!

While the bamboo looks really nice, I would hesitate to use it in places like NYC where we have eaten at restaurants that have used bamboo inside the restaurant and roaches pop in and out - they love bamboo!

I have found it helps, if I have a small bag near the door. I drop anything in it that I need to do - shredding, paying bills, etc. and take it to work with me. I find it's easier to do these kind of things at work - since I am awake longer at work than when I am at home.
