DON'T throw out all your traditional lights and buy LED ones to replace them. Replace 'em as they die! Plastic in landfills. ah.

Drives me nuts (p.s. i'm young--it's my generation doing this)
Here's what happens to a good number of people:
-receive email/evite/facebook invite.
-look at guest list
-decide you don't want to be too eager by replying right away
-forget to reply
-realize there's a party the day of the party and either show up or bail

reasons for bailing: something better came along or not wanting to put in the effort into brining something/getting dressed. so tired from the work week. couldn't think of going out. let's stay in and watch a movieeeee.

bleh.

Used to work at farmers' markets.
I'll second the change comment. Bring 5s and 10s instead of 20s--we could always have usesd small bills!
Here's another: don't complain and tell me that things are cheaper at the grocery store and that my prices should be lower. I used to get pretty fed up with people and have to launch into a whole thing about that food is bulk purchased and a contract with the store, that most of it comes from quite far away and this is fresher and better, that stores can afford to have seasonal stuff as loss leaders. So many reasons farmers' markets can be more expensive etc. etc. so many more factors go into it.

if you find like, a beetle or a couple of surface bugs, you don't deserve your money back! You might ask for it and they might be nice but unless you want your berries covered in petsicide, you've gotta expect that sometimes there are bugs!

@Jrocka worms are another thing, though. if they are infesting the whole basket and inside the fruit (eep). just go back and let them know that there was a problem. i'd always just give you a new basket.

And yeah, if you come early, don't expect a lot of attention. we're busy setting up. i'll always take your money, though! would never say no to a sale. what crazy rules that you can't sell earlier! 9 is so late! markets are an early morning thing. gotta get back to work after!

and at the end, bargain but don't be a jerk or a bother. i'm busy closing. suggest a price, don't hover and come back and come back again. best time to get a deal, though, for sure. buy it and they won't have to pack it up.

@username26

i live about 2 hours from a major city and about 40 minutes from two small hospitals (in ontario)
this is a retirement hot spot (i'm young, though) and my experience has been that local families are not all assigned to family doctors. the waiting list for doctors is very long. most people are served by emerg or a walk in clinic. there are no specialists around. those with doctors have to wait weeks for appts.

so yeah. there's a big drawback medically.

10 Reasons I Love Living in a Small Town
7/4/12 10:32 AM

I love big cities or tiny towns but nothing in between. I grew up in a small town close enough to the city that it was cool to go for the day. that's probably the best. i'm itching to move back to the city after living as a single person in a tiny town. Boring. And I got addicted to online shopping despite the fact that i run away to the city every weekend.

Don't get it. I wash my duvet cover every week. it's so simple. it takes up as much room as two flat sheets? 'cause that's basically what a duvet cover is? why have a sheet to sheild another sheet?

All you have to do is turn it inside out, grab the corners, stand on your bed and let gravity do the work.
