I really like it. The chevron painting sounded a bit boring to me at first but then I saw it; beautiful! And I like the earthy colours throughout. It's all very tasteful and sophisticated in my opinion. Erica's Contemporary Rogers Park Loft House Tour |

Very elegant, tasteful and so, so tidy. I really enjoyed this tour from the smooth writing, lovely photos (yes, there were a lot but they are all so beautiful) to the gorgeous apartment. Roy's South-to-North Big Switch House Tour |

This is such a lovely home. I'm not usually a big fan of a lot of white but I love the way it works here with the touches of colour. The organization is quite impressive! Andrew & Eric Find a Place for Everything House Tour |

Like a few others, I can only see twelve slides and I know there are more. I wonder what's going on... Nellie's New Old Home House Tour | Apartment Therapy New York |

Pre-digital cameras, I was trying to determine whether I had film in a camera I wanted to use so I went into my one and only closet because it was the darkest place in the apartment. I hadn't lived there long and didn't realize that you couldn't open the closet door from the inside. I found out the hard way. I kept my toolbox in the closet but I'd left my screwdriver in the bathroom because I'd been doing some work there. Luckily I found a tiny screwdriver I had for my glasses and with it I was able to take apart the doorknob and get out. Now I never close an unfamiliar door without checking first if it opens from the inside! Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | How To: Get Out Of A Locked Room |

I'm not sure how big my last apartment was, but it was definitely larger than the 625 sq ft condo I bought a year and a half ago. I have a tendency to be a pack rat and it took me about two months to go through, and purge, most of the junk I had accumulated in the 11 years I lived in the apartment. It was an exhausting exercise but I think it cured me of my clutter habit. I got rid of most of my furniture (gave away whatever I could) and bought new pieces that have extra storage and now, in a smaller space I have excess storage because I have less crap. My condo (somewhat of a loft, in that it's very open) is very well designed so it doesn't feel claustrophobic. Downsizing worked well for me. Amazing! I'm a woman and I adore it. I don't think it's cold at all. I find the space really interesting and I love the materials used. What an impressive use of 500 sq. feet. Rajiv, you did a fantastic job. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | House Tour: Rajiv's Bangalore Wabi Sabi Bangalore |

My first apartment was in a basement and I lived there for 6 years. It was big and although there was less light it was cooler than the rest of the units in the summer months and warmer in the winter. My last apartment was a second floor corner unit with a lot of natural light which was nice some of the time but in the summer when the sun blazed inside, the place got so hot I had to invest in an air conditioner. I always read the instructions before putting anything together, but despite that fact l don't always get it right. IKEA's instructions in particular have reduced me to tears after I've assembled everything backwards or upside down. I dunno; maybe I just don't think like a Swede! This house is just lovely, inside and out. I enjoyed every photo. It's also very inspirational. Maybe not all of us can afford a home like this but break it down room by room and there are definitely ideas to be borrowed or reinterpreted at any budget. When I bought my condo I had the option to "upgrade" the bathtub to a shower. I stuck with the bath because that way I can have a shower when in a rush and a bath when I want to relax. I live in a cold climate and really enjoy my baths this time of year. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Bath or Shower? |
