I also commend you guys on keeping the place so tidy despite having limited space. We have seen some messy places on AT that are bigger than yours.

I am green with envy for your kitchen.

Looks relaxing and very "home-y". Nice job on the bedding + cushions btw.

I think I just died and went to decor heaven.

I do believe that books are clutter, albeit a socially-cherished type of clutter. After studying literature for a number of years, I realized I was never going to want to read eighteenth-century novels again. EVER. So I threw them out; better than spending hundreds of dollars and losing square footage for the sake of saving something you will probably never use again and can most likely get at the library.

Simple solution: Leave a nice shoe rack at the front door and put at least one pair on it, so people know. In Canada, wearing shoes indoors is considered unhygienic and potentially offensive to the host (trekking dirt onto their nice carpet or hardwood floors)....

A good example of people with too much imagination targeting people with too much money.

- TEA TREE OIL -- it kills bacteria and fungus, which makes it excellent for floors and the bathroom. You can dilute it with water or vinegar and it will last a long time.

- CONCROBIUM -- this product is an all-natural mildew-killer fro damp environments (it's commonly used by people who own sailboats or yachts). A spray bottle will allow you to cover two small rooms or one big room and costs around ten bucks in hardware stores.

It's very stylish, but am I the only one who finds it a little cold?

What is the square footage? It doesn't look all that tiny to me -- not tiner than most studios and one-bedrooms I've seen, anyway.

I like your mix of old and new, the little pops of colour, the beautiful antique bed and the bold prints (rug, bedspread). That leather couch looks real comfy too.

This is one of my favorite tours on AT so far -- creative and stylish without being pretentious, and a great example of the 80-20 colour rule. But why did you choose to leave the wall space above the credenza blank? The ceiling looks high, which would allow you to display something with some height (e.g. a tall vase, lamp or sculpture) or to center your art. Not sure what the outcome would be, but worth a shot.
