I would say that light is at a premium there, so how about a big mirror on the wall in the living room?

I work in a library and I can tell you that books are very much alive and well. People do not adjust easily to new technologies, no matter how we push them to.

I like the look, and I think it is quite a bit of upkeep but then, I don't mind cleaning.

I've heard that personal items in a house put people off buying it. I can say that music would definitely fall in that category.

OK, I love J Crew too, but I actually like the pants. High waisted pants make people look, bottom heavy.

I love pops of color in a room. We've been living in an age of neutral for so long, and now, it seems, the 60's are back.

I slept in a ryokan in Kyoto in the 80's on tatami mats, and a futon, and it was very comfortable. Also a nice esthetic. I also saw them in the Imperial Villa and they were beautiful.

This is a little odd, but my mom used to request from grocery stores for just the celery leaves. They gave them to her free.

I agree with the article. I've been to weddings with the oyster bar, the stations of roast beef, etc., and everyone was lining up. It felt odd and institutional when it should feel festive.

I got an allowance when I was a child, enough for penny candy and going to the pool, etc. It wasn't much, but I didn't have a lot of expenses. I was a child! We did earn extra, but it wasn't through chores, we set up lemonade stands and such. I guess the monetary aspect wasn't a big thing when I was growing up.

Maybe a touch of gold accents would help. It would add a little bit of glamor.

I have a wonderful idea. To bring up the color in the rather drab beige brown, why not try the Farrow and Ball paint Middleton Pink? It is a beautiful glowy pink, not too pink, almost a neutral, and will pick up the whole room.
