There was an old washer when we moved into our rental house. It was barely functional and we eventually decided to get a new high efficiency washer and dryer. I think people aren't quite ready to give up on granite yet. The one I wonder about is the glass box style stand up showers. Many people are ditching the tub and installing larger showers lately but I think the tub may come back into fashion. There's really nothing that replaces a good soak. We have an O'Keeffe and Merritt stove and I love it more than any other stove I've ever had. We are renting but if I ever buy a home I'm going to get a refurbished one.
