Try the AKG K550 ($299) or Sennheiser Momentum ($349). With Beats headphones you really are paying for the name, not the sound. With a little research, you can find significantly better headphones at the same price point or ones with similar quality for much cheaper. Track down a home stereo shop in your area and they will most likely be glad to help you pick out something.

Peanut butter, (freezer) jelly, and bread are all super easy to make and bring the humble PB&J to another level when combined. Quick breads (muffins, pancakes, fritters, etc) are really easy, too. Probably less than 5-10 minutes of active time once you get the hang of it. Potato chips are quick and easy as well.

@Claire: I've just gotten into making my own bitters and I've come to the conclusion that making separate infusions is the best way to go. You can mix up different styles and, if you want to try something unique, you don't have to wait 2-3 weeks to find out if your idea was brilliant or awful. Jamie Boudreau brought up the point on his blog that you can also save a batch since you can add other flavors to mellow out anything that's too overpowering.

When I see websites mention cloud music services, I rarely see them mention Slacker Radio. It allows you to play the vast majority of songs on demand and create playlists like Spotify. But, it also acts like Pandora and has playlists for different genres. $10 a month for unlimited streaming/skipping of all that is well worth it in my opinion.

2 oz strawberry-infused moonshine (Midnight Moon makes some) + 1 oz simple syrup + the juice of 1 lemon (or 1-1.5 oz lemon juice) = a small slice of heaven.

In my experience, you can think of moonshine in one of two ways when making cocktails: unaged whiskey or less distilled, unfiltered vodka. It will be lighter and obviously less woodsy than whiskey but it will have more flavor than vodka. Either way, it will have a bit of a bite to it, so adjust mixers accordingly. But that's the charm, right? Moonshine is more or less a starting point for either of those two categories of spirits. If you put moonshine into a barrel and age it, you'll wind up with whiskey. If you distill it a couple more times and filter it, you'll eventually end up with vodka.

Try it in a whiskey drink you've always thought of as too heavy or a vodka drink you've always wished had a more complex flavor.

If you don't like carrying around pots of water, what might be more useful would be to have a prep sink installed next to the stove with a pot filler faucet between the two. That way you have the convenience of the pot filler faucet with the added benefit of being able to empty the pot without carrying it across the room as well. To me, carrying the heavy pot full of what is very probably close to boiling water is more worrying than carrying a heavy pot full of room temperature or slightly warm water across the kitchen.

I've been looking for those patio lounges since I saw this post. The only thing I can find is some chairs by Alfred Sung. Where are they from?
