Anyone know a source for similar chairs to the ones in the middle picture. I'm in need of new office chairs that I can also use as seating for parties, etc.

I got a lot of shit from people when I told them I wanted to paint my bathroom black. But now everyone admits that they like it.

Here's a pic.

I did the same thing - I can't believe how much paper I shredded. Why was I keeping my paycheque stubs from 1996?!?

I did my shredding slowly with my personal shredder and in bulk at work. If you have any friends who are lawyers you can probably bring your stuff to their office - lawyers shred a lot of documents.

Today I was inspired to make a new duvet cover to recharge my bedroom. I got some Ikea fabric and a cheap billion thread count sheet and went to work. What I didn't realize is now I have to change everything else in the room to make it work.

Pics. here:

The old door was a bi-fold door (like this except much more ugly and not real wood).

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.johnson-doors.co.uk/images/Oak_3_Panel_Setting.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.johnson-doors.co.uk/Joinery/Engineered%2520Bifold%2520Doors.htm&usg=__g7ilSY4Wd24vy3_lCT3t_R

So I took off the middle door hinges which left me with 2 doors. I then wall papered them and bought some regular door hinges which I attached to the sides and voila. It was actually really easy even though it took me 6 months from concept to reality :)

My big accomplishment of the weekend - I finally solved my closet door problem! The old doors had been bothering me for years and I couldn't find new ones that would open the way I wanted. So I took apart the old doors, wallpapered them, and then hung them in a new way. SO MUCH better.

Sadly I forgot to take a before picture but the after shot is here:

There has been a yellow bag stuck in a tree visible from our living room window since Christmas. I actually enjoy the shot of color it gives our otherwise dreary landscape.

I semi cured last go around but got sidetracked by life and unemployment.

Speaking of Elfa - has anyone tried the CB2 Helix shelf? How does it compare to other wall mounted units? I want to Elfa our office but mr. deathstar wants something more polished.

I love my digital camera but I also love my Polaroids and my. gasp, film cameras. Totally different applications and results.

Fugi is apparently making some instant film which I'm going to try with some of my Polaroid cameras. I can't wait!

I painted my bathroom black when we remodeled last year. I love it and even though my bathroom has no windows - it doesn't feel cramped. And the walls are easy to clean.

My sink forces minimalism. I draw the line however at hiding the soap. If I stored it the guests would see how messy my medicine cabinet is :)

I suppose I'm in the minority of not minding the "we" as used on AT. But its use or lack thereof is not why I read or don't read AT. I read it to be inspired.

Speaking of which, I'm considering replacing the decal in my bathroom but I'm at a loss as to what else might work in the space. I'd love more storage but I really want a sleek clutter free space.

Here's a link to my bath now:

My cure focus will be our second bedroom/home office. I want a clean uncluttered space where I can be creative and not be embarrassed if someone needs to sleep over.

My impediments (besides massive amounts of laziness) are: (1) 198376780 pounds of books and art supplies; (2) mr. deathstar who has rejected all my design plans thus far; and (3) a 700 pound sleeper sofa that I want to get rid of but can't find anyone who wants to try to take it down 3 flights of steep stairs.

I need inspiration.

My home office/craft area is filled to capacity with books, art supplies, paints, paintings, printers, computers, etc. I need to do a massive reorganization and get everything off the floor and into storage.

Any ideas where I can look for storage inspiration?

michpc - have you tried Overstock.com. They have a lot of zebra print rugs (I'm obsessed with getting one for my bedroom but haven't taken the plunge).
