cute room, I think that I would put the end table by the chair or the bed though, seems to be a weird place for a lamp/ table. Arden's White & Black Wonderland Kids Room Tour |

The things I REALLY used with my kids are a Boppy nursing pillow, bath seat (then cheap bathmat to stop slipping) Medella Pump (wouldn't need if I didn't go back to work), carset, highchair, First Years umbrellaish stroller and Ergo baby sling. Snuggle nest/ co-sleeper/ crib were all expensive things my kids refused to sleep in. Never used the changing table much and swing/ pack & play were gifts that others thought we "needed" but just turned into clothes racks and toy holders. If your kids are early movers they will probably hate swings, exersaucers, jumpers etc so I would wait to see on that. Avoiding the Avalanche of Baby "Must Haves" |

My husband is in love with this - and if our son wasn't due in less then 48 hours and our nursery wasn't totally done I am pretty sure that he would make me copy this room exactly - then move into it :) At least I have a yoda print in our room, it will have to be enough for now. I would suggest a junior chair from ikea too. Unless you are willing to screw a booster to the bench, I don't think it would be all that safe, especially when they try to climb in/ out of it by themselves, which I am guessing your 3 yr old would want to do A Booster Seat that Secures to a Bench? This is great - when I went to the blog I expected the $75 to be paint and eveything else was "borrowed" from other rooms but you actually bought most of the pieces in here - amazing. If I went to someone's house for an informal dinner or chat in my everyday run around shoes I would take them off at the door. If I was there for a party in my fancy shoes that see mostly interiors I would leave them on. I don't ask one way or the other but would expect the same of my guests. If your shoes are wet, dirty or muddy it is common sense that you leave them at the door. Maybe I am just weird as I think it is situational. Etiquette at Home: Solutions to The Great Shoe Debate |

This reminds me of my dad's answer "of what" whenever I would ask him what his favorite color was when I was little. Lots of people have a favorite color for shirts that is different then faovrite color for cars etc. I wonder if the orange thing has to do with cataracts and other eye issues in the elderly, my grandma loved her carpet and couches, until she got her cataracts removed - then she wondered why my grandfather let her buy pinkish couches :) The Most Popular Color in the World |

Don't get me wrong, it is a very cool concept but mine would have crumbs in all the cracks in the first week of use. Scandinavian Modern: LEGO in the Kitchen Munchausen |

It was a horrible idea - you should sell the rug to me :) Great rug - I would do silver, bright red and orange as well as dark woods and mirrors. Look for weird/ outside the box things to hang on the wall as well as artwork to keep things interesting. Eclectic, Fun Room with This Rug? Good Questions |

Depending on how high your matress is maybe you could just get a king sized quilt/ bedspread/ whatever the kids are calling it now days. It might be long enough to cover your metal frame and boxsprings (without having to do a bedskirt which I am not a huge fan of either) This is what we do at our house. Cheap Frame for This Headboard? Noa & Stuart - great house, so much personality and fun that it wasn't sterilized to the point that it doesn't look like real people could ever live there. It also makes me nostalgic for the days when I can leave things out at child level again and they won't be broken/ eaten :) I have a very similar deer foot "candle holder". Mine is an ashtray, snagged it from my grandparents house as things were being cleaned out after they both passed away. Unfortunately mine is stuffed in a drawer (vegetarian husband isn't a big fan) but seeing yours made me think of them - thanks for the tour. Noa & Stuart's Boho-Chic Bungalow (and Shed Remodel!)
