Kevin, So I know I'm a bit late to this forum but I just discovered this website. I think the way you have designed your studio is beautiful---it's serene and minimalistic without being devoid of character. Someone commented on your bed facing the wrong direction for feng shui...I believe they would be wrong. So long as the foot of your bed isn't what is facing the front door (because in olden days, dead people were carried out feet first from their home), you are fine. As for the controversy about Mao: I have a few items with his image on them that I picked up during my time in China in my travels that I like a lot but I consider them to be historical artifacts more than anything else. I am amazed that so many people have a problem with your Mao bust...it's your art, after all.

Ok enough rambling! I have two questions, one of which was asked before but was not answered: 1) where did you get the hanging dishrack---I assumed it was the Ikea Grundtal but in looking it up, I see that it does not fold, whereas yours does; and 2) are the cabinets above your couch also from Ikea and if so, what is the model name?

I moved into my Hell's Kitchen apt two months ago but have yet to furnish it because I have no idea of how to work with the limited space (and it's almost 3 times the size of your apt!)...sigh... looking at your space tells me that the problem isn't the size of my apt, it's my inability to decorate!
