Great workspace with a nicely functional layout. With that said, I'm pretty sure being surrounded by paintings that appear to be people drowning would make me have nightmares. Alyssa's Brooklyn Artist Studio Workspace Tour |

I'm a big fan of music while commuting. My statement is specifically about the noise canceling ear buds. I'm glad you're enjoying the ones that you have. Perhaps years of commuting experience has heightened your other 4 senses so you have less of a need for hearing :) (although, for your sake I hope taste isn't being used as a method of identifying your surroundings) Gifts for the Commuter APARTMENT THERAPY GIFT GUIDE 2012 |

Having noise canceling ear buds while commuting is a very bad idea! Not only will you not hear the car that is about to run you over while you're crossing the street, you're not going to hear the thief sneaking up behind you to steal you awesome $650 bag. Maybe if you live in the suburbs you're safer, but in the city, you need to be able to hear what's going on around you. Gifts for the Commuter APARTMENT THERAPY GIFT GUIDE 2012 |

Wow, there are a lot of "high & mighty" people responding on this blog post. It must be satisfying to not have any bad habits or issues that impact the people around you. How wonderful you are as you help little old ladies cross the street, never get road rage, only eat vegan food, of course not smoke (how dare people add toxins your air. After all, you do drive an electric car), always give up your seat on the bus, and never judge others for their failure to live up to your standards. We can all learn something from your example. My partner is a regular smoker (and I am a semi-regular smoker). We too have had complaints from our neighbors. Luckily, we have a large yard, so we've been able to move around enough that they seem to be less irritated by the smell, but you may be limited in your space. One thing that I think might be helpful is to put a fan on your balcony. This will help dissipate the smoke so it doesn't waft up to your neighbors unit. Help! $1900 for a TWO bedroom in San Francisco? That's a joke, right? If the two bedrooms are also called the Kitchen and the Bathroom, then yes...$1900 sounds about right. Living In The Most Expensive Cities: How Long Can We Keep This Up? |

I just want to warn folks about the Kong. If your dog has the ability to tear apart toys, and expands on the opening at the end of the Kong, it doesn't take much for the toy to get completely wedged on the lower jaw of the dog. I know from experience. I do not recommend that toy for any dog, regardless of how aesthetically pleasing it is. 9 Well Designed Dog Toys: Aesthetically Pleasing Things to Chew On |

The display above is somewhat misleading with its description of Dropbox. Upon initial sign up you get 2GB for free. This doesn't change. If you want more than 2GB you can either refer a bunch of people getting 250MB per person, or you can purchase a plan. I think that a lot of people, like myself, can get away with the 2 free gigs and be perfectly happy. Comparing Online Backups for Your Home Hard Drive |

Maybe the shade & pillow look different in person, but online it looks a bit like there was a accident and the lamp shade was ripped apart to be used to stop the bleeding. With the cloth & print selection aside, it seems like a shabby way of updating an old lap shade. It looks exactly how it is described...like someone stripped down a lap shade and wrapped twine around it. I guess that's creative, but I'm pretty sure there are about 1000 other more creative & effective DIY solutions to spruce up an old lap shade. Wow! That's fantastic. Although, I wonder if there is a stain that can be used and is food safe. It's too bad it can't be used as a cutting board with the stain that gave it that great distressed look. An IKEA Kitchen Cart With a Bit of Rustic Charm Homeroad |
