I like the orange couch..but yes, definitely get some artwork and I agree with with Lorna23, get the white frames - go large and in multiples to make a sort of gallery display. You can diy your own artwork and place in the frames, try splashes of watercolour paint in oranges, yellows, reds, to warm up the space, or even frame found photos / things.

Also add some cushions to soften the lines of the couch, or maybe a throw blanket, and maybe a little upholstered ottoman to put your feet up on when watching tv, or triple as a coffee table / extra seating when guests come over.

I agree with the grey people are suggesting, but here's one that may be not so common..how about painting the bottom half in a rich navy? Something more blue and less like black. I'm seeing it painted navy until you hit the moulding that is top 1/3 of the wall. then fill the wall opposite the white cabinet with your large frames grouped in a grid, so as to balance the navy...and you can help the colours pop more by adding a couple plants or a pot of flowers.

or, you can even just do an accent wall, maybe the one with the dining table, or the one opposite it.
