I agree - there are a kazillion wedding magazines, websites, etc. Why even discuss it on AT?

5 Rules to Keep and 5 to Toss

I totally understand what you are saying. My husband and I live in the home he grew up in. We inherited it and decided to renovate it and put our stamp on it. There are 10 acres with the house and several buildings on the property. My husband's grandmother committed suicide in one of those buildings. She was a very loving woman that had advanced cancer and simply did not want to suffer any longer. I know this may be different from your brother's situation but still there is that stigma attached to her death. So unfair - from all accounts, she was a lovely person that was suffering. I am so sorry about your brother.

I can't think of any reason this wouldn't work with a cookie mix. I say go for it! I also use a cookie mix when I am pushed for time and the cookies are still gooey good!

You are right, Tara. This is about a "relaxing day off" and I have had a good one. Just vegged out in my comfy chair and looked through a pile of magazines. Wonderful !

A relaxing day for me is plopping down into a comfortable chair and looking through my magazines. I have subscriptions to several mags but find it hard to just sit and look through them. Going to do that today! Hope you all have a good one today.

Do all of the things on your list ASAP. When the baby comes, you will have a 24/7 project - a lifelong one.

I meant to add: I would definitely get a small room-size air conditioner to get you all through the worst heat. At least that way, you would have one room to escape to and get some temporary relief ever so often.

The above poster - akritenbrink - has excellent tips for your kitten. I, too, am concerned about the panting. Please be careful - you don't want to lose that sweet, little orange kitty I see in your photo. He looks precious. If you cannot give your kitten a "bath" wipe him down with cold, wet, washcloths in the bathtub. If you do all the things suggested for her, you should be able to get her through this hot spell. All of the above comments will be helpful for you and your kittten.

Geez, you would think a warning about bed bugs, fleas, etc. would be the number one tip. I am not taking a chance on used upholstered furniture. There is just too much "stuff" that could be on it or inside it or ugh just ugh! I will do without until I can find something new on sale.
