Love the white and natural tones with the light blue touches! And your kitchenlooks so cosy, I can just imagine sitting at the table with the morning sun streaming in, reading with a cup of coffe. Of all the entries this is the one I can see myself living in the most.

I used to think it looks cool the first few times I saw it but in small scale. Whole walls full of colour-coded books look a bit off...

I love what you did with such a small space (even by my european standards). Although it is nice to see picture of you, might have been better to have some of you in the flat, maybe showing a bit more of the bedroom or the kitchen. Just a thought...

I'm not a huge fan of pink in such quantities, but really like the vibe of your space...

It does look like that cat kindof shrunk in its own skin... it seems like there are going to be more comments about him than about the actual dresser.

Im with Amygoog on this one.
Maybe it's because my friends and I are still cash strapped students but our expectations don't go higher than having a mattress on the floor to sleep on and some sort of blanket (or, it they don't have a spare, we will just need to be told and take our own sleeping bag).
If we want to nibble stuff, we can pretty much help ourselves. We just bring our own soap and shampoo or borrow the hosts.
I suppose all the little attentions listed above can be nice, but I am grateful enough to be invited and have a great time with my friends. And a service that feels too much like a hotel would make me uncomfortable.

My problem with breakfast is that i just don't feel like eating anything "traditionnal" : everything will be either too dry of too soggy.
Thank you for sharing these kind of recipes, which hopefully will mean less breakfast-less days for me.

House Swap: Small Things That Make a Big Difference

When I lived in London, I used to just grab what I needed nearly every day after work even though I had heaps of space in the fridge (from a European point of view).
Now in my tiny french studio flat, i live with a (european standard, once again) mini bar fridge and enough freezer space to store 6 burgers and nothing more. I still find out I'm going shopping less often because it's just not on my route.
Takes a bit more planning and a few more canned and pantry goods, but I'm going on just fine. And I find I buy less ready-made food and more ingredients than I actually cook.

I was raised on healthy home-grow vegetables, no snacks, and had never eaten at Mc Donalds until I was 15 and in boarding school.
My stomach churns at the thought of deep fried butter. And bubble gum? How does that work? Can you still chew it?Don't you have to spit it out once you've finished?

Never owned a gps but couldn't go around anymore without my android phone, whether I need to get the directions to the other side of the country, or find my way on foot in an unknow city.

I love the idea of dark walls but I think they only work in a space with heaps of natural light. In darker rooms I would just stick to the classic light colours or end up feeling like I'm trapped in a very sophisticated cellar.

There is something really atractive about them. Maybe the mix of daring pattern and that velvetty texture.
If I ever was to open up a secret bar for all the new cool hipsters of London, I would definitely go to them for my loo wall decorations.

Loving the monster print! And the fact that for once, someone offers some "budget" ideas that are actually within my budget... Definitely getting that chair if I can find it in France.
