With the recent down turn of the American economy perhaps we should judge. Sadly this could be the new American Dream.

$600 & you still are basically sleeping on the floor.

I voted for Jennifer and am glad she one. But this season all together was a disappointment. Had Matt own I won't have been hurt.

I didn't see the real challenge with the New Orleans makeovers. How difficult is it to make over a blank slate. Putting down flooring, painting the walls, & filling a room with furniture not so hard.

Oddly I kind of like it. I think it would be great for a little girls room or perhaps a interesting piece for someone who has a large foyer or entryway.

There's just something not right with sticking an air mattress to the wall & calling it a headboard. I'm with LittleRock I think I could make my own for less $$$.

Honestly, I think HGTV is loosing faith in this show. They went from 12 designers in the original down to 9 this season. Plus no one really stands out this season. Give them six months with a experienced crew & a motivated producer and anyone of them could be a "Design Star". That being said I kinda hope Jennifer wins it.

Have to agree with Stellamystar...When is Top Design going to start on BRAVO?

This will be the first season that I've watched. With only nine competitors it will defiantly be a short run. Unless I see great designs by Michael I'm already hoping he'll be the first to go.

Does anyone know where I could find the brown sofa & matching chair that was in the "Hosting" challenge area? The sofa had a solid back with arms that curved down sharply. Maybe someone else saw & knows.

Love your choice of colors. Glad to see someone using fresh flowers. You're definitely in my top three.

What a terrific floor plan. I love the color scheme. People are so afraid of white but they just have to remember it's a color to. Love the two white chairs in the corner. Reminds me of a 1950's cruise ship. Love the trunk as a coffee table. In 440 sq ft you have to incorporate storage no matter the aesthetic.

So many comments on the TV. I have no issue with it being over the fireplace. You hang artwork/mirrors over fireplaces. A flat screen TV is like artwork. It's just artwork that changes with every click of the remote. My only suggestion would be to center it on the mantel or possibly hang it on the wall.

Mostly...Great job. I'm jealous of that floor plan. Such CHARACTER!

Love the rug! It's amazing that you've taken such a small space & made it appear so roomy. An inspiration.

If you're really wanting the feel of an upscale hotel room wouldn't you want to make the bed more of the focal point. It there & there is no hiding it. So go with it.

Perhaps moving it to where the couch is now. Then turn the area in front of the bookcase into your sitting/living room. Essentially flip flopping the current bed & sofa configuration.

Once you get the layout down it all about the accessories to make it chic. Good luck.
